This fabric is 54'' wide. Fabric is sold by the yard and cut to order. For example, order of 1 yard (Qty=1) is 54'' x 36''. Order of 3 yards (Qty=3) is 54'' x 108''.

How would I figure out what to order to create an 8x10 area rug, and upholster 5 dining chairs? i'm lost and never done anything like this before lol

Not sure about the rug. If it is just the seat of the dining chairs needing to be upholstered, the 1 yard should cover 2 chairs. I have used this fabric repeatedly and love it!!!

Is this smooth or more like fur?
