A Travel-Friendly Upgrade for Work and Gaming
I’ve been using the UPERFECT 18" QLED Portable Monitor regularly for travel and working out of different offices, and it’s honestly become one of those pieces of gear I don’t want to be without. The 18-inch screen feels like the perfect size for a portable setup. It’s big enough to comfortably multitask without feeling cramped, but still easy to pack and carry. The 2K resolution (2560×1600) is sharp and clean, which makes reading documents, spreadsheets, and emails easy on the eyes during long work sessions. What really surprised me is how good it is for gaming. The 144Hz refresh rate makes everything feel smooth and responsive, and the QLED panel gives colors a nice pop without looking overdone. Whether I’m gaming after work or killing time while traveling, it performs far better than I expected from a portable monitor. The 500 nits of brightness also make a real difference. I’ve used it in hotel rooms, shared offices, and even near windows, and it stays bright and clear without needing to max it out. Overall, this monitor strikes a great balance between productivity and entertainment. It’s reliable, easy to set up, and versatile enough to handle both work and gaming without compromise. If you travel often or work out of multiple locations and want a portable display that doesn’t feel like a downgrade from a desktop monitor, this one is absolutely worth it.

Stunning definition and colors (OLED feels brighter than 500 nits)
I like to pair my MacBook with a second portable monitor, both to increase my productivity and, more often than not, to watch videos while waiting for one of my AI agents to finish working. I've used other portable monitors in the past, but this OLED has by far the most stunning colors and contrast. I was initially worried that at "only" 500 nits it wouldn't be as bright as my previous display or my MacBook's screen (both 600 nits), but in practice the higher contrast of the OLED panel makes it feel noticeably brighter than both, indoors and outdoors. It's also the first portable monitor I've successfully configured in HDR mode with my MacBook, which is a nice bonus. HDR is enabled on both the monitor and in macOS, and I verified it's actually active using online HDR test pages. I don't use HDR often, but the difference on HDR videos (tested with YouTube HDR content in Chrome) is clearly visible. After trying several color profiles in macOS Display settings, I got the best results with "P3 D65 Gamma 2.6" — other profiles either crushed the blacks or washed out the shadows, losing detail in darker scenes. With this profile, dark areas retain visible detail while highlights still pop, giving the best overall dynamic range in a dim room (see attached screenshot with config details). The display ships with a magnetic foldable cover that doubles as a stand — great for travel. When I'm at my desk I prefer to raise it slightly on a regular iPad stand. It comes with its own power adapter and cables, but most of the time I just plug it into my laptop and power both from the MacBook's power adapter without issues. In summary: great display, solid value, truly portable, and don't be put off by "only" 500 nits — the OLED panel is a significant upgrade over traditional LCDs.

A really nice monitor
I am a perm WFH and use this monitor for when I am away from my at-home setup. I have multiple monitors at home so I am use to a lot of desktop space. This monitor is great, but you just need to be aware of the size. I also have the 15.6inch from this same company. I compare everything against my 5.11 backpacks as that is what I pack everything into. The 18inch fits nicely in the Rush24 but sticks out some with the Rush12 and the Moab10. This has been fine for short trips. The 15.6 fits fine into all three backpacks. With that said, I have found myself reaching for the 18inch and my Moab10 and just packing everything into that. It seems to fit fairly nice and secure even with it sticking out slightly. It has become my go-to grab-and-go when heading out for short trips. I am able to fit my extra keyboard, mouse, monitor and laptop in the Moab10 when I was heading to the library for a change of scenery (or when my internet goes out). As long as you have the space for carrying this around, you can't go wrong. With regards to setup, this works great with my Surface Laptop 3 and 4. The power from the USB-C is sufficient so the extra power cable is not required. I find this to be extremely appealing and super simple for setup. I also recently ordered the Surface dock as I would like to have use of both monitors. (FYI, Surface Laptop only comes with 1 USB-C port). The monitor is 2k so it is clear and has really good resolution. I found it to be a great compliment to my work laptop (which is only a 13inch). Being a Software Engineer, the extra desktop space is a must. I have had several multi-hour runs with it recently because our internet kept going out. I found myself constantly moving my windows over to the 18inch and working from that screen and only keeping email and chat on my laptop monitor. If you are in the market and have the space for carrying this around then the 18inch is the way to go. If you are limited on space then you might consider the 15.6inch version but again, you can really see the difference between 15.6 and 18inch with regards to how much you can fit on your screen. In all honesty, you really can't go wrong either way as the company is wonderful and stands by their products.

Good monitor, almost perfect. Too expensive for what it is
DOES NOT HAVE A TOUCHSCREEN- just a heads up to anyone who found this monitor through filtering for features. This one pops up literally every time for "touchscreen" filtered results, but it doesn't have one Excellent screen quality and viewing angles. Big without being too unwieldy and very light without feeling too cheap. I had low expectations for the speakers due to the chassis size, but they're actually not too bad- serviceable in a quiet room with no other options. It also connects to my switch directly without the need for the dock and will charge the switch through the cable with a big enough power supply. It does come with screws for the VESA mount as well, for those wondering Only giving 4 stars because the 250 dollar price tag is pretty steep and this unit should have a touchscreen and a full sized HDMI for that price/size, respectively. Otherwise this is a really good monitor that I'd recommend to someone with the dimes to spare

Good quality on the panels and a good price for what you get.
Great product. I picked up a couple of these monitors for going through PDFs full page. Since you can rotate the screen real easy and for multiple workflows on my gaming laptop. Your mileage might vary because it's recommended to have a type-c dedicated for power, but the Republic of gamers laptop seem to have no trouble powering it directly and giving me 144 HZ through the powered display type-c. I can agree that I would like the brightness to be a bit more but compared to how good of a deal you're getting and how well these perform, especially if you're indoors most of the time. These are really good, extra monitors and very portable. And it's hard to find 18-in screens that match my laptop's 18-in screen, so these were a perfect fit for me.

The Big Screen That Goes Anywhere
Portable monitors have long forced a frustrating compromise: you could have a decent screen or a truly portable one, but rarely both. UPERFECT’s 18” QLED entry challenges that assumption in a meaningful way — and largely succeeds. Display Quality The QLED panel is the clear star here. Colors are vivid and well-saturated, with noticeably better contrast and brightness than the IPS panels that dominate this category. HDR content looks genuinely impressive for a monitor of this class, and the 18” diagonal hits a sweet spot — large enough to be genuinely useful for productivity or media, without crossing into impractical territory. Viewing angles are wide, with minimal color shift. Portability At 18 inches, this isn’t a “toss it in your laptop bag” solution — it’s more of a “pack it deliberately and it goes anywhere” proposition. The included case doubles as a smart stand with multiple viewing angles, which saves you from carrying extra accessories. USB-C connectivity keeps your cable situation clean, and the single-cable power and video solution is a genuine convenience win for anyone tired of hunting for outlets. Performance and Connectivity Inputs include USB-C (with Power Delivery support) and mini HDMI, covering most modern laptops and devices. Response time and refresh rate are adequate for productivity and casual media consumption, though serious gamers or those coming from high-refresh desktop setups will feel the limitations. The built-in speakers are serviceable — they exist, they produce audio, and that’s about the most generous thing you can say. Build Quality UPERFECT has clearly invested in the fit and finish. The chassis feels solid with minimal flex, the bezels are reasonably slim for a portable unit, and the matte anti-glare coating handles office lighting and moderate outdoor use well without wrecking contrast. Who Is This For? This monitor makes a compelling case for remote workers who move between locations, dual-screen devotees who travel frequently, or anyone setting up a clean workstation away from home. It’s less suited to competitive gaming or color-critical creative work where calibration and refresh rate really matter. Bottom Line The UPERFECT 18” QLED Portable Monitor delivers on its core promise: a big, good-looking screen that travels. The QLED panel elevates it above the crowded portable monitor pack, and the thoughtful accessory integration keeps the real-world experience polished. A few compromises come with the territory, but for the right user, this is one of the more well-rounded large-format portable monitors available.

Excellent quality monitor and service!
I've been looking for a 8:5 ratio gaming monitor for a long time, ever since I fell in love with the format a decade ago. I tend to travel and move quite often, and I also wanted to get a monitor that fit in my bag. UPERFECT had the right product at the right time, and what a product this monitor is. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the enhanced 144 Hz refresh rate is amazing for gaming at this resolution and price point. Setting up is simple, with only one cable needed from my PC. I have a DisplayPort adapter cable set up to provide a signal from my SFF PC. Note that you should set up a second USB-C charger for extra power, which is included. Very recently, it came time for me to replace the screen due to a defective backlight. Even though my purchase was already two years old at the time, UPERFECT support came in to help, replacing my monitor at no charge! I will always recommend UPERFECT for portable monitors from now on.

Light, portable monitor with good resolution.
Overall, this a great little monitor. The size is perfect for on the go. It packs nicely in a backpack or bucket bag for use while traveling or at a cafe. I sometimes even use it as home and set it up in the living room or on the patio for a change of scenery while also staying productive. The display itself is very good resolution, displaying text clear and sharp. The colors were slightly exaggerated for my taste out of the box, but I was able to adjust settings and get them to appear more natural. I've shared the monitor settings I am using in my photos in case anyone else would like a more natural color tone. Overall, very happy with it.

Gewoon goed ding.

Low Brightness
It's an alright monitor. Not worth the money imo. The brightness is lacking.
