Taliah Waajid Green Apple & Aloe Nutrition Hold Me Down! Gelle 12oz

This hair gel is highly functional because when it dries there is no crunchy feel to my medium porosity hair and no flakes form. It’s also not sticky when applying and gives excellent hold to my coarse textured coiled hair. I don’t think any shine is imparted by this product. I get shine and great moisture from the other products of the same line that this gel is apart of, which I apply before it by doing the LCO method. This gel’s consistency is very lightweight, so it doesn’t weigh my hair down. Its green apple scent is pleasant and light. I hope you strongly enjoy using it as much as do.

I use this to retwist my locs. Have been looking for something that is water based for my low porosity 4b and 4 c combo hair that will wash out easy and not collect lint and other substances between hair care. Love the smell of apples and the old is gel like but not hard. Interesting texture. Was pleasantly surprised at that. Firm in the jar and you have to break the seal of the actual gel by applying pressure with your finger, however when you rub it between the fingers the consistency softends. Zero buildup and adds a great shine and NO PARABÉNS, SULFATES, PHTHALATES SILICON, SYNTHETIC DYES, MINERAL OIL, ANIMAL USE, ALCOHOL, GLUTEN OR GMO. Aloe softens the hair yet this product keeps the hold however hair is not stiff can still move and there is no flaking.

So first let me say I LOVE Taliah Wajjid's apple aloe line! The curl cream is top tier and this gel works wonders as well. I have 3c/4a natural hair and this gel makes my curls pop! Now I will say for some reason it doesn't mix well with the cream from the same line. I tried it and it created white balls in my hair. In the pic above I used the gel with a leave in conditioner from a different curly hair brand and it was perfect! No flakes or white balls. And it can be used for slick backs as well, overall it's a great gel, just make sure you do the hand test with different products to make sure they mix well with this gel.

Excellent hold, lovely smell. Could be a little less stiff to come out of tub but it melts into your hair. Nice shine, does not flake or dry my hair. Will purchase again!

So far this is the only product that I love using on my locs

Although the ingredients are the same as one I previously got somewhere else, the texture is drastically different. The previous one very transparent and had a slippery (almost snot-like) consistency. It felt more moisturizing when applied on top of Camille Rose Honey Hydrate leave in. It would reactivate when I added a bit of water. This one is murky, almost milky and feels a bit like Wetline Extreme. No slip. It feels drying even though I use the same CR leave in. I will not repurchase it here. I will be going to my local beauty supply to see if they have the other clear gelle.

10/10 Highly recommend. I have 4C hair. It works amazing for braiding and smells great.

Good quality product

Gives me beautiful lasting defining curls. I've used it on my braids. Does not weight my hair down. No built up residue. Only down side is: the jar was about half full. Overall, its simply a great product. Definitely recommend it and I've place a second order.

Best gel I’ve used so far. It keeps your hair moist and contained.

Hold is not strong enough, product says alcohol free but smells like alcohol hand sanitizer
