I used this for awhile and it worked fine. I did have the occasional issue with keeping the compartment lids closed, but I actually found those useful for storing components. This is probably the perfect mat to use for jewelry or working on cell phones as there are many places you can organize small components and screws. There is a raised portion that is perfect for placing the watch or cell phone you're working on, but ended up being my issue.I'm going to give this 5 stars as my ultimate reason for ordering a more plain Silicone Work Mat with a smooth surface is really my own fault. I found that the raised project part made for an uneven surface when using a board holder for soldering. I also realized that the little part sections ate up a lot of mat real estate that I never utilized. I'd thought that more was better, but in the end, the style with a flat smooth lower portion with just a few part wells on top worked much better for the kind of electronics soldering work I more routinely do. I gave mine to my wife as she makes jewelry and may find this better for her purposes.If this style of mat is really what you are looking for, you'll find it well made and reliable.

The mat is sturdy, the little storage compartments are easier to use than I expected. The lids on them stay shut. It is absolutely heat resistant too. I cranked my soldering iron up to 850 degrees F and put it on the surface for a couple seconds. It didn't even leave a mark.

Love this mat. It protects my table top from damage by the soldering iron and chemicals. It has lots fo areas to hold small parts and several of them are magnetized. The things I solder are typically very tiny and I was having issues with constantly dropping parts or having them roll onto the floor. No more with this mat everything stays where I can see it. The mat is price way to clean as well, just wash it off in the sink and you can get rid of all that flux residue, etc. smelled a little funny at first but it was as fine after I let it air out for a couple hours. I may buy another one for the garage.

The mat is overall very nice; it is thick, so you can use it being sure that you won't damage the surface on which you use it.Now, don't think that you can do metalwork on it; the main purpose is for electronic usage, so this does not mean leave your iron on it because it will take it. Yes, it is heat resistant but it is not made of indestructible material, so you can still cut or burn it if you leave the iron on it for more than few minutes (in which case you have bigger problems than just burning a mat, but let's move on).The flaps to close the little containers do not stay closed; but I don't really care, since for me is enough to have different areas for the screws. I wish there were small magnets all over the place to keep screws in place, but I solved easily by placing flat magnets under the mat, so screws stick on it all over.Good mat for most of the home or lab work; either for electronic repairs, soldering or even for model kit building. Just beware that it stink like crazy when you open the bag, took about 2 weeks for the smell to go away, and did smell all over my lab (which is a decent size room).

I bought this for creating fiber optic terminations in the field.Excellent quality, easy to clean, pierce resistant. Lots of spaces for parts. Different size areas for parts.I bought this as something I thought MIGHT be useful. Turns out it's irreplaceable and the main item I use in the field.

The soldering mat is made of high quality material,its texture is soft,solid and durable.The mat works well and does not even melt even if it touches the soldering iron directly.The holder bays and slots keeps things nice and tidy and prevents from rolling of the workbench.The solder mat helps me to organize my solder works.I am very pleased.

Good quality, just like the smaller blue silicone mats, but jumbo-ized and with some covered parts pockets. The pocket lids are soft and floppy so may be annoying to some, but they do keep the dust and debris out and they lay back nicely when open so I like them. There are the many non-lidded indentations as well, so you still have those. And you can always cut the lids off the ones that have them if you want to.

The only thing I don't like are the little boxes with really flimsy lids. They shouldn't waste materials on the lid. I didn't mark anything off for it since I can always cut them off if I don't like them that much. Other than that this is an awesome mat and works great on my workbench. Just the right size.

Cumple, aun no lo estreno pero se ve de buen material y resistente.

Esta alfombrilla, tapete, o estera (como queramos llamarlo), esta diseñada para todos los que nos gusta o son profesionales de la electrónica y reparar aparatos electrónicos, bien sean Smarfone, tablet, radios, relojes, calculadoras, etc...Nos llega en una bolsa de plástico y tras sacarla , notamos su dureza y su alto grado de resistencia a resbalarse ya que se me me pega a las manos. Esta fabricada en silicona.Una vez que la colocas en el banco de trabajo, o mesa, se agarra como un lobo a su presa y no hay forma de que se desplace un solo milímetro, también influye lo grande que es. Eso está muy bien porque en los teléfonos móviles o placas que llevan componentes SMD las soldaduras son de precisión y si donde apoyas la placa se mueve por muy poco que sea este movimiento, la soldadora se ira al garete y con suerte no romperás algo más de la placa.Esta compuesta por apartados, desde la zona de trabajo, pasando por sitios para colocar los tornillos que vas sacando y colocarlos en la lona numéricamente, porque lleva serigrafiado el nº 1, 2º ...30º así sabes el orden has seguido con ellos en el desmontaje y para montarlos, solo tienes que ir cogiendolos al revés, esto parece una tontería, pero ya os aseguro que no lo es, muchas veces nos hemos quedado parados diciendo < Y este tornillo, donde iba? ) Con esto, no pasará.Siguiendo con los compartimentos, a la derecha tenemos para dejar las herramientas que mas usemos, destornilladores, puntas, pinzas, etc... y luego para equipos más pequeños y que no llevan tanta tornilleria, dispone de unos huecos, en los que los puedes meter y no se caerán porque esta imantado, el iman esta debajo, en las fotos lo muestro aparte de que en la propia estera pone *Magnet*.Ya en la parte de arriba, trae unos compartimentos con tapa, ahí podemos usarlo para poner los repuestos mas comunes, como resistencias, condensadores, algún conector y estos quedará protegidos ya que se puede tapar.El fabricante dice que aguanta 500ºC, mucho me parece, pero no lo voy a poner en duda. Ademas, en soldadura electrónica, nunca llegamos a esas temperaturas, lo máximo que podemos poner la estación, será a 300º en mi caso y muy contadas veces y nunca apunto a la mesa, apunto donde quiero hacer o deshacer el estaño, que esta en la placa de circuito impreso. Pero, es un dato a tener en cuenta y se agradece que esta sea resistente a altas temperaturas.Y esto es todo creo yo.Espero que haya sido útil esta reseña 👍.

For me this is beyond brilliant. It's better than I imagined. The only thing is the flaps on the small compartments. I find them not good but I do not need them at all. The product as said for me is brilliant. Does as it says it should do and holds all of my small screws etc with ease. I may buy another actually.

J'avais déjà un tapis de soudure mais celui-ci est plus grand (45x30 cm) et dispose de parties magnétique pour y déposer les petites pièces métalliques, histoire de ne pas les perdre et avoir de mauvaises surprise au remontage d'un téléphone par exemple. Résistant à des températures jusqu'à 500°C, il est très pratique lors des sessions de soudures. Dispose de rangements énumérés, pratique pour ranger les pièces dans l'ordre de démontage, dispose aussi d'une règle pour mesurer et les différentes parties sont nommées pour y ranger vos outils. Vous avez 3 compartiments qui se referment, pratique si vous faire une réparation sur plusieurs jours et ainsi garder en lieu sûr les pièces. La couleur bleue permet d'identifier l'ensemble des pièces sur le tapis rapidement. Je suis très satisfait de ce produit.
