Exactly what I was looking for.
Fits perfect and feels solid. Doesn't feel cheap. I have real Canon brand EF lens hoods which have black felt attached to the inside of the hood to reduce any light reflections. This hood does not have that. It has a shiny pebbly type finish on the inside. I will update the review if I encounter any problems with light reflections. Considering the price, I didn't expect any black felt.

Great addition to my camera gear!
As a beginner, I wasnโt sure if I really needed a lens hood for my Canon R8, but Iโm so glad I got this one! It fits perfectly, is easy to attach, and really helps reduce glare and lens flare. Simple, effective, and a great addition to my camera gear! Here are a few pictures I took with it attached.

Bought this one cuz I was very happy with their hood for the RF 35mm f1.8. A little better quality than the 35mm, fits very nicely, stiffer material. Definitely recommend!

Perfect and cute
This lens hood is for the most practical lens canon makes due to its 50mm F 1.8 specs. And affordable price! I can understand why canon doesn't provide a hood for it to keep the price as low as possible but it is nice to pick up this perfectly sized hood that's easy to use providing protection without adding much weight or taking up room in your bag when stored in reverse on the lens
