Is a persons voice distorted much through the mic?

I never had an opportunity to use it as it was defective when it arrived. I had a terrible experience with their customer service and they never issued me a replacement. Thankfully Amazon refunded me.

The siren is about 5" long, 3" wide...the mic is about 3"X2".

Can anyone help me figure out how to mount this? Instruction photo is unclear.

It's got a single mount...under the single headstem bolt.
