Works well with Win7 but not Win10
I ordered this after returning a much more expensive unit from Sangean Sangean DAR-101 Desk Top MP3 Recorder (Black) . When the Sangean unit was connected, it added a distinct echo on the line. I am pleased to say that this unit does not degrade the quality of my telephone calls. Although this unit is 1/3rd the price, you need to connect it to a computer running win 7. I tried installing the software to a netbook running win10 and it did not work. The benefit of having a device that saves its recordings directly to a computer is that you can access the recordings over a network. The Sangean unit did not provide a way to access the recordings over a network so you have to place your hands on the unit to listen to (or transfer) the recordings. The software provided with this unit was written by a native Chinese speaker and the documentation is sparse. Nevertheless it gets the job done. I have this connected between an OBI-110 and a Panasonic Dect 6 phone. Calls using either of the two Google Voice numbers connected to the OBI are automatically recorded and saved as .wav files with good clarity on both sides of the call. This unit came with a USB cable that also serves to power the unit. There is no wall wart, and no batteries are needed.When you include the cost of the netbook, this product costs more and uses more power than the Sangean, but I think it is by far the better solution.

You have to buy another adapter from these guys. Terrible misleading product. Definitely returning this and staying away from this asian company. VERY MISLEADING. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP PRODUCT.

Works great! Install the software, plug it in to the phone line and USB jack on your computer and it records all calls sent or received as long as your computer is on.

doesn't work w/ 64 bit operating system due to driver
this item doesn't function under any 64 bit operating system in any way that I could find of a virtual machine, I purchased a sangean dedicated recorder for recording calls
