The waist sizes are smaller than they should be. For example, 38 inches is actually 37 inches or a little less. The rest of the fit is good. I wish they designed these with a horizontal fly (like Munsingwear, which went out of business.) The cotton and the overall construction are good, but only time will tell how well they hold up.

Jockey classic is the only brief my hubby has worn for decades so it's nice to find packs with many color choices. I've converted him from boring tighty-whities He likes softness for comfort and the classic fit is just right. I buy his belt size 36. Amazon has great prices so after years of wear, I know just where to find them.

I've tried Amazon Basic's version, Hanes Tagless, and numerous other brands ( mostly Chinese ) and these are the Real Deal, men's std. fit ( waist height brief ) if that's what you are looking for, these are the ones. THE MAIN DRAW for me is Comfort, they are warm enough for winter and cool enough for summer, the waistband does not stretch-out or "roll" after repeated washings and wearings. They are colorfast. after time, like all cotton, they thin, but to me that just part of the normal wear pattern. They are a little more spendy, but you get what you pay for, look for them on sale. You will not be disappointed.
