Actually sticks

All window film/vinyl is a challenge to install so, I won't add that to my rating (as the size, accuracy of your cut and your prep can impact that). This is TRULY a blackout film. We have a large window at the front of our house that's high up and gets great sunlight. The downside is that it also give a greenhouse effect and makes it very hot in the front of the house. This has helped to keep the front of the house a little cooler which is great in this Texas heat. The inside facing side of the film is textured like a flaxen grass cloth. So, with it being solid black, it isn't jarring to the eye and doesn't clash with anything.

This was great for adding privacy. It also darkened the room a little. It does make it harder to see outside, esp in evening time. I wanted it for keeping the heat out and unfortunately it's not very good for that. BUT! I live in Phoenix AZ so I cant really expect anything to keep that kind of heat out. It was easy enough to install... Some bubbles but I wasnt really being careful or meticulous. If I had taken more time or had someone help me, it would have gone on more smoothly.

I loved it but it was it dark. It lasted a couple of months or so and then one day fell down. Maybe because it has been hot. Not sure.

Please note, I’ve put this kind of static film on several other windows in my house, including my shower doors… This film is terrible. I thought the reflective nature of the film and putting it on the major windows that got sun in my apartment would be great but It’s very difficult to get the bubbles out and instruction said to use a piece of cardboard and a soft cloth to smooth it out. First of all the soft cloth does not smooth it out at all. Second the cardboard just scratched the film up and again I’ve done this before so it wasn’t like this was new to me. There’s still tons of bubbles and now scratches as well . It looks hideous and I basically wasted money. Update: I have one small scrap of film left and laid it out on the counter and it’s definitely damaged. You can see little poke marks in it before I’ve ever done anything to it… This is where the water was pooling behind the film and making it very difficult to make it smooth and flat. I’m really hoping the seller will do right by this. Otherwise beware of manufacture defects I’m purchasing this because now how do I return some thing that’s off the role and use even though useless? Update: sellar offered to send me another role and I checked it first for the dents and it was good. I took a small piece to try it first and it still wouldn’t smooth out on the window.. I ended up returning the roll and getting a refund and was grateful for that. For kicks and giggles I left the piece on my window, that didn’t lay flat. It was a terrible view, but I wanted to see what it did and sure enough, it eventually ended up laying flat on its own. the instructions said to use the card that was enclosed, but there was no card and because it doesn’t lay flat when you do the process it’s a hideous view out of your window. I’d say it was user error, but like I mentioned earlier in my post, I put the stuff on a lot of other windows I just never bought from this company and this color. Try it at your own risk.

Sticks well! And it’s really pretty when the sun shines through. I don’t understand how people couldn’t get this to stick, are they putting the rough side on the window? The smooth side goes against the window and the rough side faces the room. And you need to clean your window pane(s) first and then spray them with water, doesn’t have to trenching wet, but just wet. Cut to size with included razor then use the velvet side squeegee and work out all the water bubbles. Super easy!

I like this product. It has a lot of potential and it DOES give you privacy.... BUT after application and following the instructions and using a squeegee to get the air bubbles and extra water from behind the privacy film after it starts to set there are tiny little bubbles that aren't that noticeable on the inside of your house but standing outside it sticks out like a sore thumb and makes it looks really cheesy and cheap. It would look lovely if it came out completely smooth. I love that this is the static cling so no sticky residue and easy removal if needed. I attached some pictures but it is hard to see. I like rabitgoo products this is the first one I ever had any sort of issue with.

Great product,spend th extra money and u will be satisfied ,use a hair dryer slightly when done !

Pretty good

Make sure that you put this up with two people and be careful not to scratch the film. Highly effective in keeping the heat out during the hot summers and maintaining privacy during the day. Next time I order this I will definitely use more care and have another person to help me.

Not many pieces not worth what u pay

Having our kitchen and main bedrooms facing the houses opposite we wanted a bit of privacy from passer byes and neighbours. This film blocks out a little natural light & works perfectly during the day but please be aware if you put your lights on inside the house then you are no longer invisible. Despite that we love this product and have put some more on the top conservatory windows to diffuse the sun in the late afternoon.
