When it comes to a product like this there is no "one size fits all". I am not saying the seller claimed that, rather I am saying that it won't fit every vehicle perfectly. The quality seems to be above average but I will see how well it does over time. Comparing it to the photos of the others I believe it's design had the goal of making it to last in mind. Speaking of one size fits all, the product will definitely be put to the test as I own a Boerboel (South-African Mastiff) puppy who will weigh 150-200 lbs when full grown. At one year he is probably about 125 lbs. His size and the fact that he isn't mature enough to sit still will challenge this product. That said, for a smaller dog I would say that you will love it. Dogs 90-100 lbs should be cool with it. Above that, well we shall see.3 years later and my puppy turned out to be a "small" adult maxing out at 120-125 lbs. There is no way this product will hold up. The eyelets popped out after about 5 short rides even before he was full grown.

I purchased this a year and 3 days ago. It stood up reasonably well for the first 9 months, but as time wore on the fabric around the grommets ripped and tore and a spot towards the front of the hammock tore up. I had to flip it around for a long trip to keep the hole from getting much worse. I am giving this a three because I think that it should last longer than a year, but my pup can be pretty active and not all products can take the beating. I'd recommend this for smaller dogs as it definitely would work well for a lighter dog. My 75 pound pup put it through its paces though.

I have a F350 King Ranch with beautiful seats. Also, I have two Australian Shepherds that are frequently wet and muddy. The hammock serves a few purposes well: keeping the rear seat clean, dry and scuff free. In addition. it has kept my dogs out of the front seats when I leave them in the truck. Today, the men helping artificially inseminate a herd of cows used the hammock to keep the cow manure off the seats when we drove to and from lunch. This hammock is a good product if you have dirty dogs and even dirtier people driving with you to lunch, I also like the plactic storage container that I use to store the hammock under the rear seat. I would give it five stars but I don't know how well it will last over time.

We are SO glad we waited, and vetted other potential dog car beds. This is IT! It covers the entire back seat and you can use it as a Hammock, it is so waterproof, and love the O-Rings, instead of ridiculous cheapO straps, or snaps. Our dog is spoiled so he likes his very own back-seat A/C so you will see you can leave one side down so your dog can have what I call a Semi-Hammock experience, still see you, enjoy the rear seat air conditioning blasting, but not slobber on driver rear seat leather. LOVE this. You will too!

Started out great. Looks good and looks as though it's built to last; however, it's not. I purchased this item in mid-November 2014, and as of a few months ago, the lining opposite the canvas side has cracked and left little chips all over my backseat. What's more, its waterproofing is long gone and the hammock no longer holds its form. Despite being cinched tight, I usually have to readjust each time my dog enters the car to get the ends to lay down close enough to the doors. If you're planning to use it sparingly, then it's probably a good bet. I used it every day, and it has not met my expectations for durability.

I think the overall idea for this product is good, but the material they used is way too slippery and our Chocolate Lab is really uncomfortable sitting on it. Polly, our lab, used to LOVE jumping into the backseat and coming with us pretty much everywhere we go (work included!). However, once we put the hammock in she became afraid of the back seat and wouldn't jump in. I would have to lift her up and put her in. Then, once we were driving, she couldn't relax and sleep because every time I made a turn, she would slip and slide around in the backseat. Normally she would doze off to sleep within five minutes of being in the car. With the hammock, she would NEVER sleep and would constantly be fidgeting around, trying to get comfortable. We gave her a week and a half to get used to it (and she's in the car with us every day) but she never did end up liking it. So, we have taken it out and for now we are going back to covering the back seat with two blankets...which Polly loves.****10/31/15 Update**** I have to say that after having this dog hammock for many months now I have grown to really like it,,,and so has our dog! It was somewhat slippery at first but it has either firmed up a bit or our dog has gotten used to it. I'm not sure, but either way it works great and I'm updating my review to 5-Stars.

My review is in line with some of the more average. It holds really well in the back of the car seat but I miss an elastic band or something to better secure it to the front of the seat. The attachments are nice. The fabric is crunchy and loud when the dogs are constantly readjusting their paws. It is not my final solution in car seat covers. I have to remember the one I had first (which had the elastic band in front to cup under the bucket seat) and was more cloth-like and quiet.
