I don't know how I missed the fact that this pillow is actually down, but it is. When I first opened the package, I was concerned by the way it was vacuumed down. It was very uneven, unlike the foam style tend to be. I realized it was down when I actually got it opened up. Woo-Hoo! It fluffed up easily. The cover is nice and thick enough to control the feathers. Once I get a decorative cover on it, that will improve even more. It's going to be easy to get the cover on because this will squish around better than a firmer foam style pillow. And, since I like to rest my head on a pillow when we watch television, this is so much more comfortable to me. It's soft, but I can still bunch it around to get comfortable and then fluff it back into shape easily. Because it's a bit more expensive, my plan is to purchase a second one of these and then get the cheaper foam style for the other two pillows that will go on the sofa. I feel like it's a good balance. Everything will look nice and I can place them around so you don't notice that there are two different types of pillow, but there will still be two pillows that are actually more comfortable on the sofa.

Very nice, full pillow insert. It is duck feathers 95% with 5% down. The cover is a nice, thick cotton, and so far, no feathers are poking thru. It is quite comfortable in a pillow (no little pokies getting to you). It is certified a responsible down manufacturer and has the Oekotex label as well. I have the 20x20 and have shown it in 18x18 covers, as I prefer a slightly fuller fit. That is usually what is recommended--get a little larger insert than your pillow dimensions. It helps to make sure the corners are well filled out. This is a nice insert and should keep fluffy for many years.

Appears to be feathers only not down because it's not very soft. Only moderately full as well.

Firstly, I so very much appreciate the packaging of this pillow. The box it arrived in had tape on it instructing not to use sharp tools to open the box, so as not to damage the pillow itself. The pillow is very secure and fits snug in the box, so the warning is needed. As an environmentally conscious consumer, I also loved that there was no excessive packaging or space in the box. It was perfect for what I needed. This pillow is also Responsible Down Standard certified, which ensures humane treatment of the ducks and geese the down material was sourced from. The 100% cotton material is so nice. I love that this pillow uses all-natural fibers in its construction. My first impression (and my family's) with this pillow is that it is very luxury, high-quality, and will last a long time. The insert itself is 100% cotton and the tag matches up with the listing description. The measurements are accurate and the quality of the sewing is great. I ordered the 20x20 and do be aware that it only comes with 1 insert, but I'll definitely be ordering more in the future.

Super Plush I didn't realize that I could use an 18"x18" cover for this. I had so much trouble looking for a 20"x20" cover. I guess using a smaller case helps keep the pillow feeling plush. The case I got was a bit thin so I'll probably switch it, but just so you can see what it looks like in an 18"x18" case. I love the down filling. It's super soft, and they definitely didn't skimp on the filling. It provides a lot of support and is a good size.
