Great belt for post hernia surgery recovery.
I am so thankful to this belt! my mom has pain in her leg due to the hernia surgery that has been performed 4 years ago and when she sits, stands, walks a lot it hurts and making her leg numb. She has been using this belt for a month now and she feels a great relief. The belt holds her gently and regulates by the pomp. It makes her back relaxed. So now she do everything longer and it is very comfortable.

Great belt!!!!!!!!!
The belt arrived in less than 24 hours and good shape. It works really good and it's very comfortable.

Easy to use and not as bulky as it loooks.
I purchased the unit to help me assist with my walking issues, however, my son had a lower back injury and I offered it to him. He has been using it for about a week now and it helps him to sleep and relieves some of the pan in his lower back.

DO NOT BUY!!
Product description states the belt expands over 2 inches giving traction. No true. Its a belt the inflates. Compression only. Dont waste your money. Using a inversion table would be better. Highly dissapointed and will be returning.

Support for Various Back Issues
My lower back is sometimes a weak spot, and this belt will be useful when I need support. Thankfully my back is not sore right now, but after trying this belt on, I can see how much relief it would provide. I find that if I have support immediately after my back becomes sore, the inflammation heals quicker and I can get back to normal faster. However, I have only found light to moderate support belts for my back—this one is by far more support than any others I’ve tried. This back belt is durable and has a strong velcro closure that allows for the perfect tightening and fit, and there is also an added velcro piece to expand the belt if needed. It has a hand pump that attaches to the belt to inflate air into it to provide even more support. I recommend this belt for support of various back issues.

Good for short term relief
I've had lower back pain for as long as I can remember, and I do get a bit of relief from the Leawell Decompression Back Belt does provide some relief, but do not expect miracles. The belt is secured via velcro which seems to hold well. As you use the pump to inflate the belt, you can feel your lower spine decompressing a bit and then being held in that state as long as the air bladder in the belt remains inflated. I find the sensation somewhat similar to being on a slight decline on an inversion table. The main advantage here is that you can continue being somewhat productive while still enjoying some relief (I wear a sweater to cover mine while at work). As with inversion tables, I find the relief to be temporary. I don't want to knock the product too much as sometimes that's the best you can hope for in your situation, and on many days I'm glad to have the small reprieve. I just want to be sure to help manage your expectations. You might think, "well I'll just wear the belt all the time for relief then". Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work that way. I find that after 15-20 minutes or so the belt becomes uncomfortable and will actually make my ribs ache a bit (my torso isn't particularly long so that may be part of that issue). I'm pretty sure that keeping your core wrapped up like that for extended periods isn't the best idea either, but you should consult with your physician for an educated opinion.Overall I still like the belt. I use it sporadically when my back is aggravated and I need a break, and even after removing the belt the relief lasts for long enough to make it worth my while. It's a very solid 3+ or 4 in my books.

Effective to some degree but it's not a miracle-worker
This doesn’t have an immediate effect, I’ve found it takes a while to feel the difference so don’t expect miracles. I’ve tried basic midsection back brace wraps before for lower back pain due to scoliosis but they don’t do much. This works best for lower and mid back pain and it acts like a blood pressure cuff since it inflates to help support your torso and decompress your spine a bit. It’s well-made for the kind of tension the decompression belt ends up being under once you’ve inflated it. The Velcro is secure and stays in place and they’ve included an extension piece for those with wider waists. As the belt inflates manually with a hand pump, it’s a bit limited and takes longer than an automatic pump. It’s bulky underneath clothing so you might not like to wear it during the day if you’re not at home. Since it acts as a back support brace as well, it limits mobility somewhat but on the upside, it also reinforces good posture.

Works best when immobile or resting
I have been suffering from lower back pain since I was a teenager and I am in my mid 50's now so I was keen to try this decompression back belt. It is very easy to use, the hand pump works quickly to inflate the belt and I could feel the squeezing of my midsection to essentially stretch my lower spine.I fine that it works better for me when I am sitting watching TV or not doing too much. It does get uncomfortable if I wear it for more than 15mins so I use it for 15 mins at a time while watching TV.I does help in the short term to alleviate lower back pain and so it is a useful tool to have in ones arsenal to combat chronic lower back pain.

It squeezes but not as effective as I had hoped
I had a back injury from a car accident a decade ago. The pain is situated upper mid back, sort of bra strap level. I had hoped that this would help with that but it's really hard to get it properly in place.considering my chest is in the way. At the highest level I can get this up.to, I do find a bit of relief but it would be so much better if I could get it an inch higher. It's design is like a blood pressure cuff and it works in a similar fashion. You would this it would squeeze or suffocate you, but it didn't feel like that to me, it feels like a brace.with a bit of a traction effect.Overall, I like it, just keep in mind, if you're a woman, there's only so far you can get this up until your chest.is in the way which makes this more suited for mid to lower back issues.
