Be careful, it has the potential for 90w, but not all connectors will offer the full 90w.
Not 90w all the time. It has the max potential for 90w.Pros:-It's smaller than my favorite HP slim charger, not by a whole lot, but for traveling, it's perfect.-It has a great selection of connectors, even one for my old HP.-Love that everything disconnects from the main unit, so you don't have to worry about putting stress on the parts that go into the body.-Like that the Connector end is the same on both sides, so you can theoretically connect it either way. As a rule of thumb the end with the fat thing on it (a ferrite bead, to reduce noise and smooth out the signal going into your laptop) should be the one you put the laptop adapter on.-Now this is a me and maybe a few others, very specific and unique use-case, but it allows me to cobble together a franken cable to work with my slim HP charging brick. Since both ends of the laptop connector are the same female ports, you can put a connector on each end. My HP charging brick took the same connector as my old DV-7 Hp notebook, so I put that connector on and the Acer Aspire one on and that allows me to use my old slim HP charger.Cons:- It's about 87w max for my Acer. Not the full 90. Now I know 3w difference, but the issue is that the 90W for my Aspire V Nitro Black Edition laptop is really the bare minimum wattage needed to keep this laptop running and charging at the same time, anything lower and the battery starts to drain even while plugged in. The Aspire V Nitro Black Edition has a 45W CPU and a high wattage dedicated 960M GPU. While tech has changed and I have swapped out the mechanical drive for a solid state drive, when pushing my machine, even 90w won't cut it, but for everyday tasks, it does. The charger that came with my laptop is a 130W charger. Because of that, I rarely use the brick portion of this device and instead use the connector portion with my old HP charger since that is 90W.In summation, not really made for entry gaming laptops. Anything else and it would be fine, as long as it isn't using a 45W CPU and a dedicated GPU. Luckily I've found some clever use for this product that it hasn't have me wanting to return it. I'd probably actually use this charger while I am away and I don't need the full power of my laptop. Just keep the wattage in mind. Also, remember 90W is the absolute maximum.

Not compatible with HP pavilion protect smart
Did not work for my laptop. It says it’s compatible but definitely was not. I rate it 3 because I found my old universal charger head and managed to squeeze it in this one and it works. So I’m able to use it because my old piece fit.

Extremely hot to touch
I love the weight but it heats up way too fast and I am afraid it is going to catch fire. I only use when I absolutely have to and only 5 minutes at a time
