Works good

I've purchased and used a lot of these Meidase/GardePro trail cams and this one uses the same software as all the others. It also produces the same high-quailty videos and pictures that I've come to expect. The only thing lacking on this otherwise-great camera is side sensors. Other versions of these cameras have side sensors that can trip the camera when a subject is coming in to view from the side - so you get a more complete video of whatever is crossing the field of view. Without those side sensors, you sometimes miss the first second or two of a good shot. One thing I'm not a fan of is the wifi. There are certain situations where the wifi can be useful - mainly where you have to put the camera somewhere (high up?) where you can't access it easily. But for me, I'm usually mounting them at 3-5 feet off the ground so accessibility is not a problem. The reason I'm not a fan of the wifi is because.....it's......so......slow.....to....connect. It's not the fault of the camera, it's just how the wifi setup works: first you have to launch the app on your phone, then you have to get in range of the camera for bluetooth to detect it, then you press CONNECT and wait for the wifi to connect, and then....eventually....you can access the camera and check out the videos. I'd say it's about a 30-45 second process when I'm standing 30 feet from the camera. But if I'm 30 feet from the camera, I can just walk up to it, open it up, and start looking at the videos in 5 seconds - so it seems silly to just stand around waiting for my phone to connect when I could just look at the videos directly on the camera. Ok, sure, there are probably more scenarios where the wifi could work for you and if that's the case, then definitely consider this camera! It's a good camera with great quality. But for me, the wifi just isn't a feature I find worth paying extra for. Other than that, the only improvement I would make is the use of the increasingly popular rechargeable battery packs. As it is now, you have to use 8 AA batteries but you really should be using rechargeable lithium ion batteries, and those will set you back another $50.

WiFi is atrocious. I could not consistently connect without retries. Downloading photos never worked - it always timed out. The clock did not stay in sync even with pressing the sync button. So, if you can't use WiFi and you don't know when the photo was taken, there is not much value in the camera. Returned.

I love this camera (the P90 Pro) for its simplicity and value. I have had other cameras from this brand and they are just excellent. Note that you need to provide your own memory card and batteries (this one requires 8 AA's). I have had good battery life in the past with this brand, so I am not concerned about that. I wish it came with a solar charger and may look into one for this camera as my solar camera from the brand is just fabulous and even held charge during horrible snowy days and nights over the winter. It's important to note that this camera is NOT mobile compatible in that it does NOT have a cell phone plan (but you can use the handy app for wifi reviews and live view if you have close enough internet). This is actually a huge positive for me as I don't need another subscription; the cell camera I purchased from this brand is a brick if you don't want to use their proprietary subscription plan. I will try to update once I have experimented with it more, but for now, I highly recommend!

Pretty nice trail/game camera Video quality is as good as more expensive cameras, and it's pretty easy to connect to your bluetooth> Nightvision works pretty well and is clear. The app works pretty well to view pics. I took a star off, as it takes 8 AA batteries and that's a load. Yes, you can use rechargeable, but 8 is a lot.

For some reason the camera takes 100 pictures with nothing on them put the field.

I love how easy it is to set up this trail cam. Although, it does need an sd card to work (not included, but depending on your area, definitely go with an outdoor sd card); and everything else was a breeze. The app is easy to navigate and connect, just make sure you’re close to the cam during set up. Plus, I love that I don’t have to remove the sd card; and I can changing settings, download and delete the media, and even view the live feed straight from my phone. Although you do have to be rather close to connect, approximately a 100 feet. The motion detection does take time to set up, depending on how far off the ground the camera is and how wide of an open view you have; I had to up it a few times to get it right because I was barely getting anything unless it was right on the camera lens. Thankfully, everything seems to be working smoothly now. Now many people have mentioned the battery life, which if it’s constantly taking photos from the wind, it does tend to drain quickly. After getting my settings right though and changing the batteries, it’s been running for 10 days, taking 50 photos and 2 videos, and is at 92% battery life left. So I really think it depends on how active the area is, but I would still recommend getting 16 rechargeable batteries so you can swap them out and always have a set on hand that’s charged. Overall, I’m really happy with it and love getting to see what animals it picks up, the picture quality is excellent, the whole system seems to be handling all kinds of weather very well, and the app actually works. I’d definitely recommend it!

I knocked off a star because I thought it connected to the home wi-fi. If it does, I haven't figured out how. What I can get it to do is to wi-fi connect (or bluetooth) to my phone, and from there can manipulate some settings, review pics, stuff like that. It takes really nice pictures in daylight, and the night pics are still really good for a trail cam. I am still learning the settings, and so far have only gotten some pics of the horses. I guess maybe I need to set it to be more sensitive. I have no real complaints about the camera, I just need to figure it out a bit more.
