Cools our 1500 sq ft shop nicely !!
We used this unit for our insulated 1500 sq ft shop. The unit performs very well, on the hottest days this summer (upper 90's real temp and 100's with humidity) this unit kept us at a nice 79 degrees in the shop with no humidity. Was worth every penny, installation isn't bad. FYI: This unit does not like Ground Fault Breakers, you will need a standard breaker.

Very efficient
My husband put this in an area of his shop. On 90 to 100° days it cools great! He has been a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor, his whole life, and loves the mini split! You can control it with an app on your phone that is easy to set up as well as the easy to use remote. He is already wanting to get another one for a different part of his shop.

Very good unit, But the install manual could use a little more detail
Real DIY Install Feedback: Fit & Finish The wall template is accurate — but drilling a 3.25″ hole (instead of the manual’s 3.54″) provides a snug fit and looks cleaner. The included wall sleeve is flimsy — I made a sturdier one from PVC pipe instead. Line Set & Tools Despite being “pre-charged,” you must cut and flare the copper lines to match your install length. A tube cutter and flaring tool are essential. You’ll need to evacuate the lines and indoor unit, and since my gauge set was R-134a, I had to get an adapter to fit the R-410a service port. I used the following R410A-to-R134A adapter: https://www.amazon.com/R410A-Adapter-Refrigerant-Conditioners-Straight/dp/B0F3N9CWFL/ref=sr_1_1?crid=7H0KUS9YTE1X&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.hKHXduRR-lbRFALddt5fUg.k0a5N7qliGaS4f5N0L-2-aN3AquMyKlSlDZHs0B_DU4&dib_tag=se&keywords=B0F3N9CWFL&qid=1751762697&s=hi&sprefix=b0f3n9cwfl%2Ctools%2C109&sr=1-1 which worked flawlessly. Unexpected Hiss When removing the factory caps on the indoor unit, I heard a hiss of air escaping — likely vacuum. Since it's not called out in the manual, it caught me off guard. It was not an issue just unexpected. Electrical Hookup The system runs on 240V only—just L1, L2, and ground — no neutral required. Completely correct, but not typical in US installs and not clearly stated in the manual. Panel Access Quirk The front panel hinges upward for low-voltage wiring, but there's only one prop rod, and it's on the opposite side from the connection area — awkward for accessing controls and the wireless module. Smartphone App Setup was a breeze — intuitive, responsive, and works great. Performance Running now and it’s extremely quiet inside and out. No vibration, and comfort is noticeably improved. Humidity control is exceptional. Highly recommended if you care about quiet, efficient operation. Bottom Line This is a genuinely DIY-friendly mini-split with excellent performance — but expect to: Drill a slightly smaller wall hole Fabricate or source a sturdier wall sleeve Purchase cutting, flaring, and evacuation tools (or rent/hire) Add an R-134a to R-410a adapter if your gauge set isn’t pre-R-410a Be alert for the indoor-unit hiss when removing caps Understand the unusual 240V-only wiring setup If you install it yourself, you're going to enjoy quiet comfort, stellar dehumidification, and smart controls — as long as you plan ahead for the minor quirks.

General review
I purchased this with skepticism not ever hearing of this brand but I am very surprised with how well it has been working. When I finished installing the unit I thought it wasn't working but then I felt the cold air and realized they are whisper quiet. The same goes for the outside unit. You can only hear it run if your standing within 5 or 6 feet from the unit. Very hard to believe but it seems to be well designed. As far as efficiency the return line going back to the unit is still cold so it tells me that it isnt the most efficient or the interior coil is too small for the outside unit for the 3 ton unit. I did the install myself and they are very simple for someone with basic household skills. Just make sure you evac the line set before you release the freon into the system and make sure your pressure is correct. It will improve the life of your unit. Total time for the installation through a concrete wall was around 10 hours start to finish. The one downfall I do notice is the fan on the inside unit stays running maybe there is something I'm doing wrong but it would be nice to turn the fan off when the unit isnt cooling. All and all I'm happy with the purchase and I would recommend this brand after 2 months of use.

Money well spent
I installed this in a 2,000 square foot metal shop building with 14 foot side walls and a 40 foot wide front door. The unit is a bit undersized for the application but has been performing well. When the outside temp was 100 plus I set the thermostat to 82 and it kept the building cool enough to work in. Now with outside temps averaging about 40 it is keeping the temp near 50 without stressing it too hard. Needless to say with a shop building, it isn’t sealed very well. I just put seals around the garage door last week. There aren’t any seals around the big door. It’s hard to gauge how much my power bill went up because I spend a lot more time in the shop now that it is reasonably comfortable to work in but it was only about half of what I was expecting. Quite a bit cheaper than the house but then I keep the house at 71 degrees.

Very quiet, best price satisfaction
For the past five years, I have suffered a lot from old air conditioners and heaters. I paid close to $1,000 for repairs every year. Summer and winter are fun now. I don't have any worries. It's cool and warm enough for 2,500 sf. The electricity bill is also low. However, the installation must be done by an expert.

Great unit. Cools wonderfully.

Easy to install as a DYI, but not worth repairing if anything breaks.
Cooper & Hunter buyers beware! YouTubers have hyped this brand for a while and said good things about it. And yes, it was very easy to install. Saved me $2000 to install myself. But within 6 months of having it and 4 months of running it, it is dead already. The compressor failed on it, causing a control board to fail. This in turn may have caused further damage. Our local HVAC repair company came out. Looked over the unit and found nothing wrong with my installation. Helped me order new control boards to the tune of $460 from C&H directly. After installing them, the unit still does not work. Now C&H would like me to spend $1000 on a whole new outside unit. Having spent $500 on the tools to install the system, 2k on the system, $460 on 2 boards and now 1 month of no heat and $200 on service calls, I think I can say I saved no money on this PoS… err I meant the C&H. Shame on the ‘Tubers if they promoted this junk for a free unit or cash, and shame on Cooper & Hunter for not standing by the trash they peddle.
