Hypnia 8 inch Memory Foam Mattress, King Size 5ft x 6ft6, 2 inch Memory Foam

Like most people I saw the price of this mattress, the free pillows and wondered.. It didn't help, there was an odd bad review (And it did read oddly!) and a comment about all the reviewers having only ever having made one review. So I was sceptical. Anyway, I bought one. So here is my review: DELIVERY - very fast, even though it was Christmas. It came 3 days earlier than initially predicted. It came in a box about 5 foot tall and 4 foot by 4. It is quite heavy so I would suggest two people are needed for this. A negative is the box itself was dirty from storage and my pale bue shirt was dirty once I carried it up stairs. This is a very minor negative. You then need to take the plastic wrapping off the rolled up mattress - this is when your heart sinks and you feel you know why it is so cheap! Initially the mattress is 3-4 inches! Worry not - once it is unfurled it starts to expand. I left mine for 9 hours before actually it. The mattress itself comes in a really nice cover and looks very nice. The pillows are very small and dont really fit well in pillow cases - but they are free! (Read on to hear about the pillows though!) THE PRODUCT Amazing - I love the mattress. I must admit I still harbour thoughts of why it was so cheap and expect to wake up one morning and find the mattress flat! But it is great. It is very different from the sprung mattress I had previously but I have found no difficulty sleeping on it and have found so far that I seem to be sleeping a longer unbroken sleep - this could just be my imagination as I when i got tit I was just finishing 2 weeks Christmas holidays so the unbroken sleep could be due to working. The pillows are great too - I can see they won't be for everybody but I have found them very comfortable just they aren't aesthetically pleasing due to their size compared to 'normal' pillows. Initially I went to sleep with a normal pillow with a memory foam pillow underneath - since then I just use one memory foam pillow - previously I used two normal pillows. Smell - the mattress does smell - not the worst smell in the world but it does smell a bit after five days. SUMMARY I am loving my new mattress - still worried at the back of my mind that it was too good to be true but as each day (Night) goes by I sleep more and more soundly in the belief I got a great bargain! UPDATE 2nd January 2013 The bed is still great - I don't use the pillows though.

The mattress arrived very quickly. I ordered it on January 2 and it was with us by January 4. The mattress was very carefully and professionally wrapped. Not too difficult to unwrap. It expanded for over twelve hours. I have severe asthma but the odour from it did not bother me. There actually wasn't much odour. The pillows were wrapped up in the mattress and were as flat as boards. They expanded very quickly. Neither of us can really get on with the pillows but they were free. Our real objective was to purchase the mattress so we did not care about the pillows. The mattress cover is substantial and beautifully soft. We are sleeping very happily and comfortably. Our only problem is not wanting to get out of bed in the mornings!! We did check two national mattress-bed sales rooms. They were asking £400 for a similar mattress which was not as well made. The layers in their mattresses were not as well joined as the Hypnia mattress. The cover not as nice and there were charges for delivery. We really appreciated the free delivery of our Hypnia mattress. Altogether a very pleasant transaction. I would certainly recommend the Hypnia mattress to anyone seeking a superb product at most reasonable terms and with loads of comfort built in.

I have been back and forth with the GM of the company to return the item ever since I got it. I had previously bought the exact matress but for some reason this time, the one I received was larger than my bed and doesnt fit properly leaving it slanted on one side. This was in April!!! I ended up having to send him a video of the matress not fitting into my bed and corresponding through 'Whatsapp' (???!!!!), now lately I am getting no replies.... This has been the worst possible customer service I have ever seen, I can vouch for that, especially because customer service and satisfaction is exactly my line of business, appauling. Really if for some reason your product is different from what is described and you want an exchange/refund/whatever - you will not get one!!! I am not one to post bad reviews or complain but this is just too much, who - after 5 months of correspondence - could not give less of a c**p about their customers??? Are £180 quid really worth that much more to them? This may work in the short run, but with this customer service from the MANAGER, this company is not going to be around for long... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, BECAUSE IF YOU DO AND THE PRODUCT IS NOT WHAT YOU WISHED FOR - THEY WILL NOT EXCHANGE IT/REFUND IT.

This is the second Memory Foam Mattress I've bought and it's great! Best night's sleep I've had in a long time. My Fiancee also really likes it, and she's not used a Memory Foam Mattress before, so even for first timers, it's really nothing to worry about! This one was cheap if you compare it to Hypnia's website, where the equivalent mattress would cost around £400! Only negative, and even then it's not really negative, is that I received two Memory Foam pillows instead of the cover I was expecting, but I'll get over it, and I think the pillows are probably worth more than the cover anyway! Be aware that as the mattress is delivered vacuum packed for ease of transportation, it will take a while to expand fully (typically 3 to 4 days). I waited 3 days and was concerned that the memory foam layer was only an inch thick and not the advertised 2-inches. I was worried I had been sold a cheaper version but was advised that it can take a while longer to fully expand....Which it did. I now have my 2-inches! Delivery was the quickest I've ever known from a trader through Amazon, and from pressing the 'confirm order' button to doorstep delivery via Yodel took 2 days! Fantastic, highly recommended!

Bought this because I was fed up of getting out of bed in the morning still feeling tired! Joints and back aching and never feeling like I'd had any quality sleep at all. I have to say that I've slept on this for the last two nights and things have improved already! No aches and pains so far and somehow I feel like I've slept really well. My only criticisms are that the mattress can make you feel a little overheated and I imagine that if we get any hot weather it might become unbearable. On the whole though, it does seem to improve sleep quality. Didn't much like the 'pillows' which came with this - hard as rock and not very restful to lay your head on at all, I find. However, they were included in the deal, so I didn't have the option to refuse them.

After 5 years of sleepless nights due to young children, my husbands snoring, and the most uncomfortable mattress in the world, I managed to persuade my husband that this is the type of mattress to go for. I researched into them, and found that this mattress had the best reviews and was at a great price. On delivery I let the mattress inflate for about 6 hours. I expected a nasty odour, but I was pleasantly surprised as this wasn't the case. It had a 'new' smell about it, that maybe lasted 24 hours. I was dubious of the 'free pillows' that were included (as had tried some very cheap ones previously and they were awful!), but I was willing to give these a chance. I am so glad I did. We use these as a base pillow and have a normal pillow on top. The BEST thing about this mattress and the pillows have STOPPED my husband SNORING!!!! No joke, I can't believe it! (The only down side to the pillows are that they are small and you really need 3 to fill the 5ft width of the bed!) This is a really great purchase, I sleep so much better and I know that my husband does too as I am no longer waking him to stop snoring! My children would say that it is rubbish, as it doesn't have springs it's not great for bouncing on - every cloud has a silver lining!!!!

When we first got this mattress my partner and i didn't sleep well on it as we hadn't had a memory foam mattress before. It is a very warm mattress and takes a lot of getting used to. Because i am a bit bigger than my partner, his side of the bed is still very firm and mine is very soft. I wouldn't have a memory foam mattress again as i don't find them as comfortable as i thought.

I have been suffering with back problems for a few years, and my chiropracter has regularly told me a mattress can be key to helping. We had been wanting a memory foam mattress for a while, but had been putting the purchase off due to perceived cost (we expected £500.00). After eventually looking on amazon, this was the first one that came up. If I am honest we were very dubious about the price, however, the reviews were very good, so decided to take a gamble on this king size mattress for £150.00 delivered. Without a doubt, the best value item we have purchased in a long time. This mattress is extremely comfortable and has helped my back problem massively. I no longer have to crawl out of bed!! I can not recommend this enough.
