Exactly what I expected.

The stuff works great if you have a wound that is not healing well. I have a foot laceration so I have a hole on the bottom of my foot and by using this with some of those 6 x 6 pads on my foot it’s starting to actually heal and it’s not draining as much as it used to. This will definitely help heal wounds. I would recommend it to anyone.

These large sized, rectangular wound dressings are a perfect addition to an emergency/first aid kit. They are for exudative wounds, as they are quite absorbent and impregnated with antimicrobial silver and calcium alginate (gelling agent). Because of their ability to form a gel, they end up creating a clean, moist healing environment over the affected area. This process also helps with wound debridement, or the removal of dead tissue. They are approximately 4” x 5” and there are 10, individually wrapped & sterilized bandages in the box. My kids are very active and are always getting minor wounds. My 11 year old has the uncanny ability to accidentally bump into very hot surfaces and burn himself. Poor kiddo :( Thankfully these are a good option for burns or blisters that are NOT dry. These should not be used on dry wounds because it will absorb any existing moisture and will dry out the wound further (ie, the fibers will adhere to the surface, likely making removal very difficult and painful). If one were to purchase a similar product, in the same quantity, from a medical supply store, it would cost significantly more money (triple this price). Other competitors have similar products, but this brand seems to be the best value for the size and quality of the dressing. Highly recommend these!
