This is definitely one of the better eyeliners that I've gotten in the last couple of months. I've been hunting for a long-lasting waterproof eyeliner that doesn't smudge ever since I made the transition to liquid/marker eyeliners. This is one of my go-to favorites, although it does have some set-backs.+ Long-lasting throughout the day. I've even accidentally slept in my eyeliner (it was a particularly long work day) and it even lasted through that!+ Black is black. It's not a dark dark brown or a dark dark blue. It's definitely black.- Cap fits on VERY snugly. I have to make sure I don't have creme on my hands or otherwise I can't get the cap off! I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing error or whether Lauren Taylor wants to make sure that the cap doesn't fly off somewhere.- Dry tip. I haven't had the eyeliner for that long and the tip already feels drier than it should. I have to run the eyeliner multiple times in order to get enough pigment out, which can be frustrating when time is of the essence! All in all, this is my new go-to eyeliner for the meanwhile until I can find the perfect replacement. Besides having to use the product multiple times in order to get a good line, I like how dark the black is and how long it lasts. Hopefully my second eyeliner won't have any of the weird defects!

Yes, BUT...
I went out on a limb and spent about 2x as much as I typically spend on eyeliner, since Physician's Formula appears to have downgraded its formula.Bottom line: I have to apply eyeshadow under this to prevent it from stamping onto my browbone over the course of several hours. It's not horrible, and it looks great, but I'm a "1-2 forms of makeup" type of person (or so I had been). Meaning I had to buy some cheap eyeshadow for this very purpose, to see if I could make the eyeliner useful.Pretty much, if you're someone who faces the predicament of eyeliner melting onto unintended parts of your face, this is one of the better ones out there but be prepared to apply a "nonstick coating" of powder. Oh and it's not that easy to remove either.^If the above truly is your predicament, my tip is to use Revlon Color Stay liquid eye pen. I've been using it for about 2 days and though the brush is rock solid (be gentle!), it's closer to $10 at most drugstores and not melting much. Let me know if you have spiffier ideas :).

Long lasting, deep black color, but hard to apply neatly
I'm editing this review after having had this eyeliner for several weeks. When I got it I was new to the felt tip eyeliner pen product line. I really love this type of eyeliner, and for me it is a huge improvement over the pencil type of liner. This particular brand has some terrific aspects. The color is a deep, shiny coal black, and it really does last all day. I love the way the cool, wet brush feels. However, after several weeks of use, I find it difficult to make a smooth, clean line on my eyelid, and the color bleeds onto the bottom lid as I am painting the top lid. For this reason, I downgraded my rating from 5 to 4. I still love the way it lasts and the color is great for a deep, dark black.Since finding this type of eyeliner I then discovered the Stila eyeliner pen, and I found that goes on much better, also lasts all day, and has many beautiful subtle color choices.

Didn't work for me
Long lasting, not waterproof. Have been looking for a pen waterproof liquid eyeliner equal to my temporary liner tattoo MAC liquid last eyeliner which can get a little goopy for me. The pen is very thin and handles well, and the application is very black, which I love. At work, this holds up for me until a little after lunch. I just took a nap and woke up a few minutes ago and the eyeliner under my left guy is completely gone in the temporal corner, leaving me a small strip of eyeliner on the lower lid toward the center as you can see in the photo. Right eye has held up fine after nap. I had purchased this because it said waterproof in the title, so I might be a little hard on the review. I tend to tear more than average, so this may work better for other people.

Does not stay on
I'm not sure why people think this eyeliner is so great... I've tried it several times now with varying ways of applying it and it does not stay on all day. I tried setting it with a black powder, no eyeshadow, with eyeshadow, no foundation, with foundation, no moisturizer, with moisturizer, and it does not stay on all day. It seems to be worst around the corners of my eye. Also, by the end of the day, the line is clumpy-looking. On the plus side, it's pretty easy to apply. I think it might be more difficult with wrinkly skin, but this is probably the case with all eyeliner.I was (and now I'm back to) using MAC fluid line gel eyeliner, but was looking for something a little easier to apply. I didn't want to have to use a brush, clean the brush, then set it with black shadow. However, I'm thinking this may be my only option for staying power. I'm disappointed in this liner. I'm also surprised at how small it is... I can't imagine it will last very long. At least my MAC eyeliner lasts a very long time, so I can justify the price.

Good, but not as good as Stila for the price...
This is a good waterproof eyeliner. It's easy to apply, very black, a little runny for my tastes, but it's not a problem. Even though it isn't waterproof, I didn't find it to run down my cheeks like a sad clown and I have allergies and watery eyes. I would repurchase this again if not for the Stila All-day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner which is a much better, much more intense, less runny product which is available within the same price point ($19 vs $22). This would be a good dupe if there wasn't better available in the same price point.

Lauren Taylor Cosmetics Waterproof Liquid.
I had a problem with the eyeliner melting off, but then I tried several & found they were all doing this to me. My favorite brand had been discontinued. However, I found if I brush on a little eye shadow lightly over the liner after applying it & letting it set for a minute, it last all day. This is a repeat order for me so I am happy with it. I really like like the fine tip that makes it easy to apply.
