I have dry skin. How dry? Well, I have psoriasis, and for those who don't know what that is, (mostly) in the cold months my skin turns to scales and I become a lizard. Living in Canada, that means my skin is desert dry for 9 out of 12 months. Even in the summer, it's dry. Side note: I drink 6L of water a day, which has made my skin soft if anything. Still dry. I was growing tired of dropping so much money on products, trying to get nice skin. Then I found this product. I was iffy, even with the reviews. I mean, everything else failed. First time applying this, I knew I found the one. I wish I could put a ring on it, because just wow. The box said it will tingle, but because I rub my psoriasis raw, it more like burned. In a good way. After a week, my skin looked and felt amazing. It's still dry, but the moisture lasts for hours. I apply it after washing my face, and I'm good all day. I stopped using it for a few days because of a cold, but my skin was still hydrated up until day 2. Back to using it everyday, my skin is perfect. At night I scrub my face, dry it, and then put a thick layer of this over my face. I rub it in a little, but mostly just leave it over night. In the morning, my skin is fresh and looks awake, unlike me. I never had a really big issue with acne, so I can't comment if it clogs pores. Mine look fine.

Very good product. I've bought it twice now and will purchase again. Nothing will work miracles, but this serum goes on more like a cream and isn't runny like vitamin c or hyaluronic drops. Very pleasant and clean citrus smell and a light tingling when you first start to use it that I actually rather liked. I tend to go through it rather quickly since I use it twice a day, but feel it's worth the money and has a positive effect on my skin's texture and appearance. Update: I am now almost done with my second bottle of Alina and am about to order my third so I don't run out. It isn't a miracle cure for aging because nothing is, but I really do think it nourishes my skin an makes it much softer. This is a big deal because I am a total product hopper... if something doesn't work the way I hope it will I move n to something else. Rarely do I buy the same thing twice, let alone 3 times so that really speaks to how pleased I am with this creamy serum. It's honestly a quality product that I plan to continue to use for a long time (or at least until someone comes up with an actual fountain of youth, lol).

NOTE: I WAS NOT PAID TO REVIEW THIS PRODUCT NOR DID I RECIEVE IT FREE FROM THE COMPANY. I hate buying things on amazon lately because of how shady the reviews are. I've been duped so many times, relying on reviews and buying the product only to realize it's a piece of horse crap and I couldn't fathom how anyone was able to use it. This isn't one of those products. I'm actually not sure how many of the reviews here are real and unbiased but I purchased this almost a year ago after reading reviews (and not checking for honesty). The ingredients had me sold. First thing, size is tiny. But it has lasted me around 8 months. I'm at the bottom of the bottle now and I have to use the end of a spoon to scrape out what's left. Having this in a pump is great for lack of contamination but it's difficult because the serum is a bit thick to pump out when it's all the way at the bottom of the glass. And there's no way I'm going to throw it out or dilute it so I pretty much have to scrape. Pain in the ass but worth it. The smell, it's like a very strong citrus smell. Fresh oranges with a tiny dash of lemon. I can also tell it has quite a large amount of Vitamin C in it as my skin tingles (strongly might I add) and if I'm using it after I've used a retinol product the night before it can even sting a bit. But I have sensitive skin that is acne-prone and eczema-prone as well. The texture, it's very similar to cetaphil cream, not the lotion. It goes on smooth and it always leaves my face looking bright. Lastly, effectiveness. I bought this to help fade post-acne marks/hyperpigmentation. I have marks everywhere and a large dark strip on my forehead that isn't the same color as the rest of my skin. It definitely has softened my marks. They're still noticeable but definitely not as dark as before and that's with 8 months of use. I honestly thought they would have disappeared by now however, I've only been using this in the day time, before my moisturizer. So once a day use for 8 months will definitely get you results but it won't completely erase them. Another plus, it never once broke me out or caused acne. It doesn't leave my face dry or tight. In fact, I use this alone as a moisturizer in the summer and put sunscreen over it and my face didn't need any extra moisture. Now that it's winter, I do put a few drops of hemp seed oil over it. Overall, it works. It's a slow job though. I wish it had a thinner consistency for the pump so no product goes to waste or gets contaminated, I took off a star for that. Everything else is perfect. If the reviews are a sham, the product definitely isn't.

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased this. I mainly wanted something to moisturize around my eyes after I take off eye make up. After using it at night, and the next morning, I noticed that my deep bags under my eyes minimized, and my dark circles were less prominent. It's hard to find something that would help that. Not sure if this product is suppose to aid in eye puffiness, but it sure fixed that problem for me. This is the only product I have tried that didn't make my eyes feel inflamed. I tried instanatural products for undereye dark circles, and it made my eyes feel like they were ready to explode. I will say that this product burns. After rubbing it in for 5 seconds, I felt burning. Not sure if it's because of working up heat from the rubbing, but I know this was not the manufacturers intention. And this happens every time; I use this 2x a day. I never thought my skin to be sensitive, but it apparently is so if this is the reaction I get. But I get no redness, nor blisters. Just the burning sensation if I rub it on my skin for 5 seconds or more. The smell is not something I like too much, but if you love the smell of citrus, you'll love this product. Very orange-smelling. Due to the fact that I look younger, and my long time battle for eye puffiness is now under control, I rated this product 5/5 despite my small reaction. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

I broke out in a rash 4 days after starting to use this serum once or twice daily. I immediately stopped use, but the rash continued to get worse. My face became bright red and was covered in itchy bumps. A couple of days later, the whole top layer of skin on my face sloughed off in huge patches, but the redness and rash remained. Neither Benadryl cream nor OTC cortisone cream had any effect. To be absolutely sure that it was the Alina serum that caused the rash, after I stopped using it on my face I applied it to my left forearm. Sure enough, a rash developed there 4 days later, even though I used it only 2-3 times (I kept forgetting that I was running the test). My primary care physician diagnosed contact dermatitis and prescribed Medrol (an oral steroid). That helped with the itching and redness, but the rash has persisted. I've had the rash on my face for five weeks now, and on my forearm for four weeks. Every time I think it's getting better, the bumps get redder and swell up. I haven't been able to use any other moisturizer or sunscreen, because it aggravates the rash. The area covered by the rash has got bigger, now creeping up above the elbow. On my primary care physician's advice, I am seeing a dermatologist next week. I have previously tried both 20% vitamin C serums with hyaluronic acid (e.g., from OZ Naturals) and never had any problems with either ingredient. I'm allergic to Neosporin but even that reaction was nowhere near as bad as the rash this serum has caused -- it faded after just a few days. This is the first time I've ever had a rash that lasted so long and would not improve day by day. I'm resigned to the fact that I may now have "sensitive skin" and will need to test new products very carefully. But the severity of my reaction to this serum means that I will not try any more Alina products. I can't risk getting a rash that lasts over a month after just 2-3 applications of a product.

FURTHER UPDATE: I will not order this product again. This bottle is the same as the last, a full ¼" of the serum is unavailable using the pump. The tube is way to short. Is this deliberate, I wonder? Really badly designed. Despite loving the product, I am lowering my star rating from 5 to 3. To be honest whilst I can't comment on the effectiveness of this product specifically, since I have used Vit. C serum in many forms for years. However Alina is my favorite brand, I love the faint orange smell, the silky, easily absorbed texture and the great pump design which allows for easy measuring, plus a quick twist to open and close. I do believe that a good Vit. product really helps with the overall appearance of my skin. At night I use a retinol product. At 69 I have no 'brown spots' and no lines unless I smile. ' Update, Really like this product but the packaging / bottle doesn't make it easy to get to the last 1/4 inch at the bottom. I ended up unscrewing the top and using a small spatular to get access to the remaining full week's worth of lotion.

I was looking for a Vit C serum and ran across this one. Product reviews were good so I decided to go with this one. First of all this serum has a great smell to it. It is a light citrus scent. It does fade after you put it on in about 15 min or so. I actually wish it would last all day because I find the smell to be uplifting. Who couldn't use that in their day! The texture is perfect. Not too thin and not too thick. I let it soak in for about 5-10 min. I follow with a moisturizer and sunscreen. Blends great with anything. Doesn't ball up makeup. It also didn't irritate my sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin then you know how important it is to find a product that doesn't sting, burn or make your face look like a bright red fire truck! My lines on my face did start to fade after using for about 2-3 weeks as well as a few dark spots. Bonus! I did use it at night too after cleansing my face. My face was brighter and clearer with faithful use. 1 bottle lasts about 1 1/2 months for me. I did try a different Vit C serum (just because I like to try different products) which wasn't bad either, but do prefer this one much more. Will be buying this one again real soon!!!

If you are into anti-aging products, this is the one for you! I have tried a lot of products and in a lot of price ranges too. This Vitamin C serum is the bomb! It goes on the skin nicely and smoothly. It has a pleasant orangey smell and there is not film on the skin after application. It is not greasy and it actually tingles just a bit the first few uses and goes away quickly. I noticed in just a day that my skin was brighter, smoother, and overall had a healthy glow. I thought I already had that from other products, but I truly noticed a difference with the Vitamin C serum. I am very, very happy with the results and I now use it as part of my skin care routine. The best part is I can wear it during the day and not feel like I have cream on my face. It is smooth and clean feeling. I did receive this product for free for a review and I have already purchased more so I do highly recommend this product.
