My saddle basically fits my mare, but a few fingers fit in a couple places. This pad is perfect. It is comfortable and helps the saddle rest perfectly without any gaps. This is a must buy.

I was excited to try it out but it didn’t really help relieve the pressure from the saddle on his shoulders and would be best used with a English saddle than western saddle didn’t work for my horse very well

This pad has changed the way “we” trail ride. The shims line up perfectly with my 15.1 Morgan’s shoulder. We now can stay in rhythm when racking. She no longer drops out of her rack. She feels better so the ride is better. Highly recommend this pad. I am also glad she is not getting pinched.

It arrived looking just like the photo with a vibrant, solid, color except that it has an obnoxious white logo brand tape down the spine area. I was fine with the small tag in the product photo but this garish logo lone really does go all the way down the spine! I bought this for a costume for my horse and the tacky white and black brand lettering ruins the look. I'll need to figure out how to paint it or something because right now the logo along the spine is pretty ugly and shows in some areas under the saddle.Something to know is that this is not your standard Western saddle pad. It's like a western close contact pad. It's built just like an English all purpose pad so you may need to use it with another pad to work but, at the same time, it's a benefit as it's lightweight enough that if you remove the shims you can toss it in the washing machine and keep it cleaner than a typical western pad. It also has two pockets on each side, it would be good to have 3 but 2 work.I've now used this pad every week for months and it's dirty but otherwise in GREAT shape, no stitching issues . So much so that even with the awful logo tape I'm looking to buy another. The shim foam has held up perfectly and my horse is comfortable.

I bought this because it was inexpensive, and I wanted to try a thinner saddle pad that had shims. This one is great. I can keep the saddle off my horses' backbones, and we are all happier. It's worth having.

Overall this a good saddle pad, there are 2 sets of 3 tapered foam shims on each side. For us, it was not quite what we needed to fill in behind my shark fin withered Arabian after he lost top line condition. But, the material is durable and the different shim levels were nice, so it is definitely a keeper. Will be nice to have something to "help out" with different horses / saddles if necessary.

Good, contoured saddle pad for the money, & I love the color (pink). It has pockets for shims (& several foam shims included), which are easy to put in & take out. Works well under my western saddles.

this works well our horse is hard to fit he has a flat back, so the extra padding is great

The pad is overall pretty good. My biggest issue is the quality of the inserts, however based on the reviews I knew that before I bought it. If they would use a better foam for the pad I would give it a 5/5. The rest of the pad is fantastic, I love the fabric and the customizability of the pad.

So far I like the pad, my horse is a racetrack pony and works several races 4 days a week. He had a sore back and its definitely helping him be more comfortable. Love that I can add or remove the shim padding
