Quality item at a resonable price
This is one of the best tripod mounts that i have come across. Apart from the very solid locking mechanism on the ball head, the overall build quality is first rate. As an experiment, i attached my pro video HC-X1 camcorder (2.2Kg) onto this head. It grips the head very securely (not recommended as a permamnent solution for a large camcorder). When attached to me full frame DSLR it feels very secure, and is very easy to unlock and repostition the head to any desired angle.

An Amazing Product
In the world of expensive brand names, this Ball Head proves that often you just pay for the name. Product quality is incredible and I didn't need to pay £300.00 for an equivalent brand name product. I don't even see this as a stop gap in any way. Just an excellent quality product that punches well above its weight and competes with brand name products that are 6 times the price. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed!
