What is the difference between the cream & the balm?

Hi Tamy, great question! The cream is a rich formula used to treat eczema and itching. The cream contains 66% Avene Thermal Spring Water. The balm is a little thicker and an "ultra-rich" formula used to also treat eczema and itching. However the balm only contains 56% Avene Thermal Spring Water. The products are almost identical in ingredients but the cream is lighter with more of the spring water, and the balm is a heavier/thicker emollient with a little less of the spring water. Am I the only one who can't stand the smell of this moisturizer? That eggy smell is killing me!

I can't stand it either, but it's just the Omega 6. Anything with Omega oil smells like that to me - like raw eggs. Yucky.

Hi Renee, this product is more for severely dry skin, dermatitis and exema. However the Avene Antirougeurs Fort Relief Concentrate For Chronic Redness, Avene Antirougeurs Calm Soothing Repair Mask, and the Avene Antirougeurs Redness Relief Dermo-Cleansing Milk are all wonderful for Rosacea.
