Clamshell Light Reflector/Diffuser for Studio or any Photography Situation with Carry bag

Less than the next price of 150 by half.....and it is MORE functional. The other model has a arc gate design that the curve can move within, so this limits the use. This is on a simple light stand mount with knob. Yes its maybe a second slower if at all, but MUCH more movement options from up 100% horizontal and vertical.Also, this comes with a gold and silver with BLACK edge, which I prefer...And get this...Its LARGER /wider than the other models.The other model has a white reverse side which is useless without a shoot through transparency and the bar in the middle.Get this...This came WITH a pretty handy stand. Will re-purpose for other sue, but very well can be used with it.Also, the main bar mount is thick enough, yet lighter weight.So this one around 70-80 is a NO BRAINER!!

I gave this 4 out of 5 only bc I haven't shot with it yet. It does not come with a stand which I didn't see it stated it doesn't before purchasing. Thankfully I have a few so it didn't matter. It is big so be prepared for the size. Super easy to install and the rod pockets are good quality so that was a sweet surprise. It packs back up quick and easy and doesn't weigh a lot at all. Glad I bought it. Mine isn't as smooth as others have stated so I'm happy with mine. Would have been nice to pay a little less but thats me being a typical photog lol

Worked perfectly for what I was needing. I am a mostly outdoor natural light photographer but I occasionally take on a headshot job here and there since it’s easy money. I didn’t want to spend a ton on lighting so I purchased this and two lights and it did exactly what I needed it to do. The subject in the photo has a main light to the (photographers) right and a smaller light in the back on the (photographers) left to backlight a bit. The clamshell was placed right in front of the subject.

I had no flaws on the material, no issues putting it together, its HUGE but lightweight (works well with my 8ft light stand). But I have to fight with the cross bars a little to take it apart. Since the fabric part is flimsy I do feel like I'm chasing it to get the bars in the pockets but once the cross bars are in it stays in place.

This works almost as good as the Wescott Eyelighter which I also own. In fact you can even adjust the angle unlike the Wescott version. The only thing I didn't like as much is the reflective material on the silver side because it's almost as smooth as a mirror which causes the reflection to be too directional and harsh. The silver side on the Westcott version is more wrinkled or corrugated which reflects the light in a more difussed way that creates a much nicer catch light and even fill. But for the money it's of great value and I do recommend it.

I worked on my first headshot session indoors and needed a reflector to bring light up into the face without breaking the bank. I love this reflector, it captured so much light into the face. I tried removing it for a few shots and just end up putting it back, huge difference in the photos. It was pretty easy to put together, and great quality. The case is nice, although it took me a minute to figure out how to lay everything in it to close properly.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm excited to try this with my next client. I've been wanting to purchase a clamshell reflector for some time now. It was really easy to assemble and I will be testing it out to see how it works!

Overall I am pleased with this reflector. I chose this because of price and was pleasantly surprised. The previous reviews dogged the silver reflector side but it has worked brilliantly for me. It really catches the catch lights in the models eyes. Definitely worth the money.
