My Early Steps Learn to Walk Harness (Tan)

No more bending over to hold your baby. This helps save your back. Especially good for grandma so she doesnt have to bend over and dad who is tall. And helps baby learn how to better balance using her arms without you grabbing her under the armpits. Baby has freedom to move and run around and you have peace of mind holding baby safely. If your baby is like mine and is running before learning to walk, this is a good thing to have onhand. It probably isn't something you'll use for a long time because once your baby learns how to balance on her own, you probably won't need this anymore but it will come in handy for a month or two when your baby starts teetering and tottering about. Wish it weren't so pricey though. That's why I didn't give this 5 stars.

We bought this for my special needs son to be used with a treadmill. I like that it's easy to put on his (even when he's squirmy), but I wish the straps were longer for our purposes. I know that it was created to be used in the way we're using it, but I wish it had the flexibility to do so. Longer and sturdier straps would help. Also, it the straps had grippers or something to make it easier to hold a child who doesn't like putting weight on his feet.If it was specifically for our purposes, I would give it only 3 stars, but since I know that our use-case is different from the intended purpose, I'm giving this 4 starts.

I feel like a stereotypical new mom after buying this. I'm sure all the 'seasoned' moms in my neighborhood had a laugh watching me use this.First, it works as it says. I used it a handful of times. My husband was very embarrassed when I used in front of my house. He felt it made our son look like a puppet. Of course, I didn't care if he learned to walk.It is designed to be easy to put in him. But my son did not want to sit still long enough to get the straps on him. So it was a battle. And by time I would get it on him, he'd find a toy to play with and just want to sit and play.So overall, it works as described. But I'd consider this an unnecessary purchase.

This product has taken our daughter some getting used to. We don't use it all that often because it hasn't really seemed to make a difference. For reference, our daughter is almost 17 months and has yet to start walking. We originally bought the product to give our daughter a boost and encourage her to walk.She seems to have fun when she's in it, and for that I give 4 stars. I don't think the product makes all that much of a difference for children learning to walk however.

I ended up getting this because I threw my back out a few months before my daughter was starting to walk. I thought this would really help me help her walk without having to bend down to her level and strain my back. It worked perfectly for me because of this reason.If you have a child with normal milestones being hit and you are able to bend down to help them walk, I wouldn't suggest this item. It is expensive for only using it for maybe a month or so.It can also be cumbersome to get your child into the device.My daughter loved it while she used it though. And I loved being able to walk her around without having to hurt my back further.

This walker has allowed me to help my baby walk without hurting my back or legs...as holding under his arms or his hands had done. It is simple to put on and easy to take with us wherever we go. My baby is 8 months old and has wanted help walking for over a month now. He has so much fun walking...and even running with it on. And everyone watching gets just as big of a kick out of it as he does! With the secure Velcro closure and harness that covers his entire torso, there is no fear of him slipping out as there may be with other walkers. The straps are adjustable as well as removable, so we can remove them if he wants to play. It's a sure thing that someone will ask where we got it anytime we are out and about...I highly recommend this product to anyone with a baby learning to walk...it's probably the best extra baby product I ever purchased!

I ordered this walker because my little one was starting to try and walk. When I had it on her, I didn't feel like I had a good hold of her with the walker. When she became unbalanced (a lot of the time) she would swing around and couldn't find her balance again. It just didn't work out that the walker was assisting her. She was constantly pulling forward and then swinging side to side. It was more trouble than I had anticipated. I gave it 3 stars because maybe it would work better for someone else.

I bought this item for our 15 month old who would only walk if someone was holding his hand (tightly). At first he wouldn't try it; however, we tried it again after about 2 months. He felt secure walking in it though he initially held on to the straps for comfort. Eventually, he didn't notice when we let go of the straps and now he's making steady progress toward walking more confidently. The one thing I don't like about the walker is that the straps are long enough to be an entanglement and fall hazard.
