The hardest thing to learn about this product is the app you are required to download to unlock features. It took about 20 tries of downloading the different apps available at the store and trying to create accounts before I was able to somehow finally access it. This is a very negative experience.Once the app is installed and the device is activated, a 7 year old took only a matter of an hour to figure out the ins and outs of riding the device. She quickly learned to speed around the house and unlock additional speeds before she even got outside. Once outside, she was cruising long distances in no time flat. Gave her a week before bluetoothing the music in. It has been nearly a month and she still rides it daily with a smile on her face. Seems like a high quality investment in fun and already cheaper than the equivalent times of buying movie tickets or amusement park passes. If on the fence, this is a go-to for the young ones. The training mode voices remind of certain safety concerns quite a bit, but is the reason I didn't buy the adult version capable of faster speeds and heavier weight capacity.At this point, I will probably return to purchase adult versions for the whole family, but this is perfect to give the younger, shorter, and lighter members of the family a comfortable and fun way to experience the possibilities of a Segway without becoming overwhelmed from the start.

The media could not be loaded. We got this for my daughter's seventh birthday. She does great & mom & dad can ride it too without falling, lol. The battery lasts really long, the quality is great. The light show is perfect in the darker settings. The app works fine. It is nice to have the music option. Additionally, we have property with a concrete area, but mostly grass & a long crushed concrete driveway, including slight elevations. My daughter immediately went through all transitions with ease & stability. It is fun for children, yet also provides nice eye-hand-leg coordination & balance. Happy to go with Segway!

This is the Cadillac of all hover boards. This little beauty is fast, easy to learn, built like a tank, and easily programmable for parents. If you want to set limits on speed for example, it is very easy to do with the app. The app is intuitive and very responsive.The Ninebots location is also visible on the app. So when your kiddo takes it “to check the mail” but doesn’t return for 45 minutes, you can pop into the app and see where they’ve wandered off to.

Awesome Ninebot for kids! My step daughter loves it!

My kids love their ninebots. They use it, at most, about once a week, sometimes less frequently. We purchased this in late November. The charging cord lasted about 3 months and severed. The replacement cord costs about $120 on Segway's website. I would suggest Segway make better charging cords, or not charge as much to replace if it will only last 3 months.

Small size but super safe and easy to ride

I didn't give 5 stars because it had to be repaired, however, now after it was fixed, the kids love it!
