Could be lit more useful.Currently the only real thing it does is alert if it loses power and loses WiFi connection.I would have given it a 5 stars if it could :Alert when the main pump is onAlert when the backup pump is onThe current functionality is really not worth the money. I can find alternative ways to monitor power in the house and the condition of my WiFi.

This device is 10 feet from an access point with clear sight, and still loses connection to wifi. It's way behind the times from a technology perspective. I would definitely not recommend purchasing this device.

I would agree with others, it is very expensive for what little it does. It would not take much programming to make this worth the $100+.Like log when the backup pump is cycling and how long it is running on top of the heartbeat. Additionally they could have added function to know how charged the battery is and maybe track it's install date... I can think of many more...

I have the Basement watchdog sump pump system and am happy with it. My basement flooded without a battery backup and it was easy to install. I wanted to wifi module so I could check on it when I'm not home. The wifi module, however, is very dated. The app is old and glitchy. It keeps disconnecting even without any problems with my internet. I would not get it again, it has basically not worked since I first set it up. I may do more troubleshooting in the future but for now it's just been a waste of money. I think I'm just going to get a wifi camera (pet cam, baby cam sort of thing) and set it up to look at my sump pump so I can see if there is an issue from afar.

The WiFi watchdog would not stay connected to our internet. We have an extremely strong system and the unit was only 15 feet from our router. Customer service was responsive, but unable to offer any actual assistance other than contacting our ISP. The interface is also 2nd rate. Very clunky and not very useful. Lots of room to improve.

Product arrived a day early (on Thanksgiving) and was a breeze to install and setup. Only reason for less than 5 stars is the limit of alert details when used with the older Watchdog instead of the Watchdog connect (via 2 wire remote terminal connection instead of a usb data connection. This limitation was not made clear in the presales materials and as an engineer, my opinion is that it would have been feasible to encode the alert detail over the 2 wire connection with a serialized encoding.

Easy to install and does exactly what they say it will do.

Knowing I have this device and can always check - simply amazing
