Byers' ChoiceNativity Advent Calendar #AC05

All the Advent calendars in this style are beautifully made. I love this one in particular because it depicts the Nativity. I love it even more because baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the Shepherds and all the angels are smiling. :) Awesome. I was growing tired of all the mournful Nativity scenes. This one is lovely. The little compartments are big enough to hold a Fisher Price Nativity set person or a little person from The Bible Story Nativity set (about 3" high and 1" wide) and a piece of chocolate. I originally bought this because the Lego Nativity sets I used to buy featured assassins this year (blech) so I went out and got three LOVELY sets for the kids (this one included) that we will be able to use and use and use every year and I can put what I want in each compartment. This is the kind of quality piece that will last for YEARS and it comes in a very sturdy fitted box that I will use to store it. The kids have been using these now for nearly a month and none of the doors has fallen open or fallen off. Great buy.

Bought this for my 88 year old mom. She cannot have the regular Advent Calendars filled with chocolates, cheese or alcohol. It's a little heavy for her to handle but we displayed it so that she could easily sit in front of it and open a box per day. Boxes are of various sizes which is great as we were able to fill it with large packs of gum, lottery tickets, Mini perfume & cologne bottles, some candy (Almond Roca single pack - her favorite), elastic hair band holders & even a pair of fleece Christmas socks. She loved looking at the Nativity Scene pictured! This is well made and more beautiful in person. The best part is we can use it year after year. We love it!

I bought this for my kid’s advent rather than doing the pop-out chocolate advent calendars. It was a treat each day watching them open the doors. I found that I could easily fit two small candies or gifts in the boxes.

I read all of the great reviews this calendar got and it does not disappoint. It’s beautiful and sturdy and should last years! It did not arrive in absolutely perfect condition, and I was prepared for this after reading the reviews. I’ve attached pictures of the two flaws. The wood or veneer is split on one bottom side and one side of the roof doesn’t line up or lay perfectly. But it doesn’t seem like anything I can’t fix using wood glue. Neither flaw affects the structural integrity of the piece or is noticeable from the front when displaying the calendar. So excited to start using this every ear as we count down to Christmas to remind my kids of the true meaning. Recommending to my friends!

This is the third Byers Choice advent calendar I've bought. The first two (one like this and one shaped like a Christmas tree) were for my children, the latest one was for the children of friends. My kids LOVE their advent calendars (and my oldest is 17)! The doors are large enough for snack-sized candy, or small toys (such as lego minifigures, bouncy balls, chapstick, hair toys, etc). Each morning in December is a new surprise. We have had ours for 7-8 years now, and they are a large part of our Christmas tradition. I plan on passing them down to grandchildren, they are sturdy and well-made and ours still look like new. Well worth the money!!

We own 5 of the Byers' Choice Advent Calendars now. I picked this one because the art work is so beautiful. The compartments are fairly generous in size, but I rated this box 4 out of 5 stars because the compartments are all very narrow. They are deep and tall, but cannot fit as many things because of how narrow they are. For example, little plastic eggs that hold terrariums or dinosaurs or candy will not fit. I highly recommend the fireside calendar box instead. That was our first one we owned and has much better variety in compartments! Otherwise, the quality is very good.

This Advent Nativity box is just as pictured and is Gorgeous!! Our little ones love it! I like how it is not the generic advent calendar and love how it is a Nativity and looks forward to the birth of Christ with each day coming closer. It reminds our little ones everyday of what to look forward to and of the true meaning of Christmas. The size of this Nativity Advent Calendar is huge which is great for fitting larger treats and mini gifts in each day. I love it and it is truly beautiful!

Bought for new grandbaby, so good because you can put larger items (ie: toys, socks, bibs etc) and it will be used for many years to come.
