A stylish and perfectly fine fitness tracker for the rest of us.
The Fitbit Alta HR is the perfect fitness tracker for the aspiring enthusiast. It has all the essential activity tracking bits in place that should satisfy the fitness curious (but probably not the obsessed). I believe step/exercise tracking, sleep and heart-rate monitoring should be the bare minimum a fitness tracker should be offering in today's age and Alta HR does that very well. It's exercise monitoring may be not perfect (it tries to detect it automatically and so isn't 100% perfect) and the step tracking may not be accurate for the hard-core (it just fine for my 20 min run though). The real time heart monitoring is for the curious (interesting to observe how the heart rate goes up during driving, waiting for interviews, doctors appointment, meeting a girlfriend etc) but the rest heart rate measurement really ties in to your fitness (visible in the app). The sleep monitoring is a fantastic insight into your nightly proclivity as it measures deep sleep, light sleep and REM (dreaming) phases. Lastly, the Fitbit app ties in all the above things into a cohesive package that tries to give you a better holistic insight into your health regimen. All in all the Fitbit Alta HR is greater than the sum of its parts. If you're just getting started on the fitness thing but don't want to go overboard right away, this is the perfect stepping stone. Sure, it's a bit more expensive than the ones from Huawei and Mi but arguably the Fitbit Alta HR is more stylish, less obtrusive, has better social integration (invite your other Fitbit buddies for challenges etc), has a more polished app, and is admittedly a better fit (pun unintended) for the brand conscious.

No warranty support , no accessory availability
All things said, it’s a great product and starts in You a healthy habit. BUT if you buy this within India there is zero support or zero availability of genuine accessories which would go the whole nine yards. My charger stopped working just after a month and there is no genuine charger for Fitbit Alta HR anywhere( they keep sending Alta charger which isn’t same standard as Alta HR) . So good people out there ..... be warned.

Good design & functionality, and an incredible app.
An incredibly useful fitness product. It has incredible app and community which sets it apart from any other fitness brand. The design of altar hr is very good for both men and women. If you are looking for something to track your steps and daily calorie count or distance travelled or heart rate, then go for this over any other watch. If you are looking to track other specialised exercises in the gym and also need a few smart watch features the go for a higher model in the fitbit line up.

Good tracker. Worth for spending money
This is my first fitness tracker review. Got it at an amazing price deal and I feel I did the right investment. Pros - 1. This piece looks superb on my wrist. 2. Calculates steps accurately 3. I love the sleep pattern because it shows my dream period also . 4. I wear it without second thoughts in drizzles also. 5. When my phone is in silent mode, I no longer bother for checking the display again and again . Now my tracker shows who is calling me on my hands. Cons 1- whenever I ride my motor bike it wrongly assumes that I am doing outdoor cycling and it considers it an exercise and burns a lot of calories. It would have been better had any mode been there 2. I don't understand how it calculates calories burnt. when I wake up in the morning and check my tracker it shows that I have already burnt 500-600 calories even though all I was doing was sleeping. 3. Other trackers In market show fb and watsapp notifications also but Fitbit only shows incoming calls and messages notifications. Apart from these 3 cons everything else is just perfect. It looks lovely on my wrist and everyone asks me from where I purchased it. Amazon was as usual prompt in its delivery. Overall very good.

Highly recommend.
I started out long ago with a classic Flex. Fell prey to its failed strap design and lost my tracker. I replaced it with a Charge 2, and found the tracker to be really accurate. Now I’ve moved on to the Alta HR and it’s my absolute favourite. In terms of performance it’s not much difference than the Charge 2 but I love Alta HR’s sleeker looks. It also feels a little more comfortable on my wrist. I debated whether I should pay extra for the gunmetal, and then decided to go for it, because I do wear it everyday, all the time. The best part: I bought it for INR 11,999 in a lighting sale on Amazon, which incidentally is the same price you would get it for in the US.

My FULL And FINAL HONEST REVIEW !!
So Let's Start With My Final Review Which Include:- Box Contents,Design Review,PROs,CONs,Final VERDICT... ---------------------- 📦 Box Contents: ---------------------- 1.FITBIT ALTA HR 2.CHARGING Cable 3.USER Manual ---------------------- 🎀DESIGN REVIEW : ---------------------- As you may know, Fitbit puts fashion first with the Alta, making it the slimmest stylish activity tracker. People love the design of the Alta, that’s why Fitbit doesn’t change much in the design of Fitbit Alta HR. Though integrated the heart rate monitor sensor, Fitbit managed to keep the tracker 15mm in width, making it slimmer 25% than the Fitbit Charge 2. The Flex 2 is even slimmer, at 11mm, but it doesn’t have a screen, thus inconvenient to view information. The band is interchangeable, allowing you to snap to other colors or metal, leather as you wish. A good news for those want to upgrade from Alta to Alta HR is that the Alta bands fit the new Alta HR so your strap collection is still in use. The difference from the old Alta is that Alta HR uses original buckle strap. Fitbit has included a clasp for the elastomer strap this time, making it feel more secure and better for heart rate monitoring. ---------------------- ---------------------- PROs [The GOOD]👍👍 ---------------------- 1.Heart rate monitor This is the key feature of the Alta HR. The tracker continually records your heart rate 24/24, letting you know your resting heart rate and showing real-time heart rate during your workout session. 2.Sleep tracking Fitbit Alta HR is launched with a new feature that has never been seen in other Fitbit devices. That is “Sleep Stages”. It uses the optical heart-rate sensor to show you the amount of time you’ve spent in REM, light sleep or heavy sleep, how often you wake up mid-snooze, so you can monitor how good your night has been. What I find very interesting is that it gives you the sleep trends of other people your same age and gender and offers personalized guidance on how to improve your slumber. Floors climbed tracking The great news is Fitbit has added floor climbed tracking to the Alta HR, which was missed in the Alta. Battery life Thumb up to the 7-day battery life. Given that it is integrated with a heart rate monitor, the Alta HR lasts even longer than the Alta and Charge 2 (5 days). ---------------------- ---------------------- CONs [The Bad]👎👎 ---------------------- 1.Not Waterproof It seems that Fitbit keeps ignoring this function. So for those wish to use a Fitbit tracker for swimming, your choice comes down to the Flex 2. 2.No guided breathing sessions Like other fitness tracker devices of Fitbit, the Alta HR has Smart Track which automatically detects various activities like running and biking. However, it was not integrated the guided breathing sessions like the Charge 2. 3.Not having a timer For some people that are familiar with the timer in the Charge HR, they may feel disappointed to know that there’s no such feature in the Alta HR. ---------------------- ---------------------- 💬 VERDICT: ---------------------- I have to agree that the Fitbit Alta HR is actually is the best slimmest fitness tracker with heart rate monitor. It’s slender, it’s fashionable and it can assist you work out perfectly. If you are having a Fitbit Alta, don’t hesitate to upgrade. If you want a Fitbit that has more functions, then Fitbit Charge 2 is still the number one choice. --------------------- Hope You Like This Review ....If You Like This Review Hit The HelpFul Button...It Matters To Me A Lot And Yes Thankyou Amazon For A FASTER And Safer Delivery(5/5 for AMAZON) --------------------- THANK You

Great product albeit pricey when I bought
This is a great product albeit pricey at 14,999 when I bought a month ago. It is now at 11,999. The product is very good tracks steps, heart rate and sleep patterns. It has a week's worth of battery life. It is not bulky and quite inconspicuous on your wrist. I had the Flex before this and now this one is a worthy successor. I only wish I had waited and bought it now for 3k cheaper rather than a month ago.

2** star || Not suited for use in India || Costly, yet a lot to be desired
Got to use my cousin's fitibit, and this is what I feel. Overall: The Fitbit Alta HR doesn't come cheap, and it has also got serious competition in the fitness tracker category. But still, this device leaves a lot to be desired, and I wouldn't really recommended it. Additionally, it doesn't seem suited for India and Indian road conditions because it gives false positives. While the device is able to detect walking, cycling and hiking, it messes up with stationary activities like weight-lifting, yoga or aerobics. Pros: - It is sleek and stylish in design - It provides accurate automatic sleep and activity tracking - It has got great battery life - It gives helpful hourly reminders Cons - The touch can be stubborn at times - Lack of proper waterproofing - SmartTrack sometimes detects exercise when there is none - The notifications aren't very useful Fitibit is a popular name in the fitness tracker segment, sadly this device could do with an upgrade.
