Great Expectations...... But definately NO.
Being a kid of the 60's I remember eating from these type of Enamel plates.... I remember them to be very sturdy & versatile. Yes, if dropped they were noisy & prone to chipping of the Enamel.THESE dishes to me are reminiscent of my past memories,,, HOWEVER the quality is just not there. All of the dishes I purchased have rust spots on the Enamel surface BUT the biggest gripe is the underside of the lip is rugged & possibly sharp to the touch. It would appear that these units were dipped for their coating and whatever method was used didn't cover the joining of the top and bottom. Great idea but would NOT recommend.

this item is aweful!
I was surprised to find that even though it was packaged well the item was awefully damaged with deep scratches and missing enamel around the rim... because we needed it for christmas pie we used it and was even more shocked when we removed the pie from the dish (note we didn't use any utensils we just tipped the dish upside down) and even more enamel had come off all over the pie! This item was not only clearly damaged when it was packaged but it deteriorated further on use, its extremely bad quality and I do not recommend this item at all.

A good single portion size for pies etc
It should be borne in mind that the size as given is edge-to-edge including the relatively wide all-round rim and not that of the internal well. It is ideal for a single portion of something like a shepherd's pie, steak pie or a fruit pie with a pastry base and crust.A few other wares from this range were previously purchased and used in cooking in a variety of ways. They are quite easy to clean even in the event that something appears to have burned onto the surface and is beyond recovery; persist and they will return to as-new condition. By no means least, they do not chip quite as easily as older enamels

Arrived damaged.
The dish arrived with a large chip in the enamel. It's no big deal, but you would NEVER have purchased this item in a high street shop. I find a lot of sub-standard stuff is fobbed off online - knowing you can't be bothered sending it back or can't afford it etc. Buyer beware online etc.

Lovely authentic individual pie tin
A really generous sized individual pie tin. Love using these, really authentic and look great. A lovely quality. I bought these to make some pies for my husband and they look great when served. I also freeze the extra ones I have made still in this tin and then pop straight in the oven from the freezer and they work perfect. Exactly what I was looking for.

Misleading size
Pie dishes are usually measured by the bottom; this one is sold based on the top measurement, hence too small for what I wanted it.They should make it clear if they are using non-standard measurements!

Good But Imperfect Ceramic Finish
I opted for the 9" dish, it has a good depth and is very easy to clean. The ceramic coating looks good but there are some imperfections in the finish, I counted five small holes in the finish which might make corrosion a future concern. Generally this is a really good dish but a touch more concern over the quality of the ceramic finish would be beneficial.

Be careful regarding size
Just ordered the allegedly 8"X6" enamel pie dish. Am actually disappointed. The overall external size measures almost 5.5inches X 7.7inches with an internal measuring capacity for pie product is 4.5inches X 6.4 inches. Hardly worth cooking the ingredients and preparing pastry. Shall be returning this product.
