Leone Candy Drops Violets

While a little pricey, the hard to find nature of flower flavored sweets makes it worth the price. I grew up with a grandma and aunties that always had some sweet in their purse, usually flower flavored, be it violet, lavender or rose. Violets in particular bring back old memories, as my family has always used a particular violet scented water to put on kids after bathtime. Nowadays, it is very hard to find anything in these flavors, unless you are making it yourself, which is what I usually do. However, when time and energy are lacking, these little flower shaped sweets are the perfect pick me up, especially after coffee or a smoke. Though the price is a little beyond what I like to spend, especially considering how fast me and my kids go through these, I will continue to buy, for the joy of the memories.

Did not like the taste. Company did not offer to exchange or a discount or anything. Won't be doing business with them again.

Beautiful little package, a quick delivery, and a nice little handwritten note with the package!BUT it's flowers, very perfumed flowers, and my palate says, "Hunh? What I done to deserve this?"Y'know the taste you get when someone who used 10 ounces of perfume sits beside you, and you just happen to have your mouth open Or you're breathing? It's like that.What was I thinking? I was remembering those English violet creams that used chocolate and other edible stuff to soften the brute force of flowers. Those flowers were the equivalent of that old woman bathed in Estee Lauder sitting in my lap.SO everything about this purchase was fine. Except the taste.

I used to live in France and could buy these by the pound. Here they are hard to find and even harder to find at a good price. I am very pleased with these candies. They really do taste like violets and I like these hard candies better than the pellets. I shopped around and these are by far the best value for these candies. Whether you are a Francophile or someone just looking for something different, I definitely recommend this product.

I keep these at my desk when I need a little candy. I usually end up eating a few in a row, but it's not like some more addictive sugary candies that once you start it's hard to stop.

Not the product shown in the photo. These are violet flavoured mints not violet candy drops. I have been searching for these candy drops for so long, you can imagine my disappointment when I opened my package to see I had payed $16 for a small box of mints. They taste good, but this is not what was advertised or what I at all thought I was getting.

Just like it's Rosey counterpart, tastes like soap. Not as bad as the rose candies, but certainly not the aftertaste I'm looking for.

Best violet candy, havent had it since i was a kid and couldnt be happier to have it again. My nonna used to bring them back from italy and these are the exact ones i rememmber.
