Excellent quality

this is the only quinoa i like.not bitter at all once it's washed thouroughly before cooking.excellent for salads.the organic one grown in india (green bag)has a brownish tinge to it and is a little inferior in taste a well.

Quinoa is a pseudo-grain, meaning it is not a true grain. So it has some attributes, like a saponin coating, which grains like millets, which is also used as a rice substitute, do not have. Saponin is a toxic substance which protects quinoa from pests, which is why quinoa is nearly always pesticide-free.Research on saponin ingested in isolation is reported to have drawn the inference that it has some adverse effects, although such effects may be diminished or neutralised when taken with the rest of the nutrients in the quinoa.But to leave nothing to chance, quinoa is sometimes washed in hot water before being cooked, so that the saponin coating is dissolved away.Now this product says on the packaging that it is saponin-free, without detailing the process employed to this end. If we take this statement at face value, it is a definite value addition as compared to other brands.The pack also has a zipper closer and includes a small satchet of moisture absorber to preserve the freshness.For these reasons, I believe that this is a superior offering.

Very fresh n clean

great quality ,tastes lovely ,no stones ,clean ,beautifully packed ,easy to cook ,gotta soak it overnight though ,no bitter taste ,only complaint ,took ages to arrive ,had to contact amazon customer care ,coz it had had not been dispatched in 4-5 days ,they said it was not available in nearby places thats why it took so much time ,but honestly one of the best quality quinoa available

Nice and value for money

After so many research I found this amazing brand .This is the 6th time ordering this quinoa.Amazing quality and tastes really great. It has USDA organic stamp. No complaints till now .

The product description is misleading, it does not come from Peru but Telangana. Shame on the manufacturer's branding agent on using Peru to amp up Nourish You. So we grow quinoa in India, what's so wrong? At least we're not depriving Bolivian farmers of their staple food. That said, after consuming Nourish You white quinoa a few times (usually made like pulau) it is not a great fibre source, not like the imported ones like the real South American varieties or Bob's Mill.
