Made getting up easy
This helped tremendously with getting up and down off my couch after my hip replacement.

Get up & go aid
I like that it allows ease in getting up. I use it on a rocking recliner and found the back of the recliner needs support so the weight on the arms and legs of this stand n- go aid does not recline too far back that it makes it difficult to get up. It became a functional tool once installed with the modification. Assembly of the frame was easy.

So very helpful!
This product has been a life saver! My husband had ballooned up to 360 lbs and was unable to get up and down without help. I ordered this 2 days before he was hospitalized for 5 days. My son in law helped me get a bed moved into the living room and put this product together for me but I could have easily done that part myself. To say my husband was weak when he came home would be an understatement! He lost 22 pounds of fluid in 5 days but still was needing to be pulled up while in the hospital. At home with this device he was able to use his arms and legs to raise up and sit down. It saved my body as well as his. He is down another 12 pounds of fluid and continues to improve and uses this device multiple times daily! It is very sturdy and has no trouble with his weight. My only complaint is that the pegs that slide through both bars to hold the hand grips on fall out often. I feel there may need to be a pin and clip there in stead of the way it slides in. But even that flaw doesn’t change my opinion of this product. For both of us, him the person using it and me the caregiver that is no longer the pulling post, it has been excellent!

Didn't work for us
I bought this for my elderly mom who is having trouble getting up from the couch. She hated it. She could not push herself up using this device and was afraid that the legs in the front could be a tripping hazard. I sent it back and bought some 3" risers to lift up the whole couch and she is very happy with that.

Just incredible.
If you have a hard time getting out of a deep couch or chair, this is the most incredible investment you will ever make. It makes getting up and down a dream. You will thank me.

Disappointing Performance for Bariatric Needs
Review: Disappointing Performance for Bariatric Needs While the Stander Heavy Duty EZ Stand-N-Go is marketed as a reliable mobility aid for the elderly and those requiring bariatric support, it ultimately did not work for my husband. We had high hopes for this product to provide the independence he needs, but it fell short in a few key areas: Stability Issues: Despite being labeled "Heavy Duty," the frame felt less secure than anticipated when under full weight. There was a noticeable amount of flex that didn't inspire confidence during the transition from sitting to standing. Fit and Compatibility: We struggled to get a truly "universal" fit on his recliner. Even after following the adjustment instructions, the handles didn't sit at a natural or ergonomic height for him to gain proper leverage. Ease of Use: For someone with limited strength, the grip placement felt awkward. Instead of assisting his upward momentum, it felt like he was fighting the frame's positioning and movement. Final Verdict: If you are looking for a heavy-duty solution for a loved one with significant mobility challenges, this may not be the robust support system you’re expecting. It might work for lighter assistance, but for true bariatric needs, we found it to be inadequate.

PLEASE send screws to assemble this ! ... or will just have to return.
We did not receive the male and female screws to assemble this !! All we got were some black cap like things with silver cylinder in the middle - no way to screw this in to make it hold.with an allen wrench.

I could not do without this now that I see how much help it is!
This unit allows me to sit where I like in our family room. The couch is too low and has nothing to hold on to while I try to get up. Since I have severe arthritis, it was very painful to try to get up off the couch. Now that my husband installed this Stand-N-Go I can get up with very little pain.

Satisfactory
A little finicky to put together but I figured it out. Even with the screws fully tightened it still feels a little shoogly but it might just need time to get used to. I would definitely supervise whoever is using it at least at first as my mum feels a little unsure about it and I want to make sure it will be steady to support her as she stands up. I think the hand grips could use another couple of holes so you can raise them a little. I am definitely pleased it sits flush with the sofa as I was worried it might stick out like a trip hazard but it doesn’t seem like that will be an issue. A little padding on the hand holds might be an idea but overall I’m satisfied with it.

Does the job really well.
The device fits our large sofa where previously my wife used the arm on one side and the seat on the other. Now the device provides stable grips of equal height and makes standing a lot easier. Waiting to discuss a VAT refund.
