The XLEDIA D125N is bright and effective in frigid temperatures
I have had this bulb in the motion controlled sconce near my front porch for a week. The bulb is lit most of the night. The night time temperatures have been in the single digits most nights. This bulb turns on immediately and is bright enough to light up the porch and about a third of the house front. The XLEDIA D125N bulb is a significant improvement compared to the 1600 lumen CFLs that are in the yard light and garage sconces. Those bulbs have not been nearly as effective in the frigid temperatures. I plan to replace them with D125N bulbs soon. My only hesitation is the cost of the XLEDIA bulbs. When most LED bulbs cost $10-$20, $50 a bulb seems a bit high. However, I have not seen other bulbs that have the full feature set and specifications of the XLEDIA D125N and this bulb meets my needs nearly perfectly. I plan to update this review with some pictures once it warms up a bit.

Great lights - brightest that are made. They last less than 6 months. DO NOT BUY!!!

Mixed emotions
I have mixed emotions. They are the brightest bulbs for the size. I have purchased seven of Seven of them, two died completely and two blink on and off. When they work, they are a great and worth the price. When they don't it's a poor purchase.

Bright, pure white
I have a number of CFLs in my workshop and one died so I decided to experiment with LED. I wasn't really sure which temperature to get, adding to the experiment. I'm still learning about this topic so I can't add much other than to say this bulb is probably a bit too cool for my needs. It would be great as a task light, but it really stands out against the other bulbs in my shop, almost like a spot light. I'd probably opt for something a bit warmer the next time. The bulb is instant on, not excessively long in my opinion and seems quite bright to me.Also, being in the shop, I'm a bit nervous of damaging it and sure enough, I did hit it once with a board. Yikes.

Bright LED, Works great.
I bought 2 of these for our carport in early 2014, and later after we moved, our garage. in the carport, they were installed in small enclosed fixtures, and in the garage they were unenclosed. They got a LOT of use and cycled on/off multiple times a day.In terms of light output - just excellent, an honest 2000 lumens if not more. Color Temperature was consistent between bulbs, and the light spread was even. The bulb design diffuses the individual diodes. At 17.5 watts, they did not overheat in the small enclosures. I've converted our entire house to LED, and these are the brightest I've ever seen - a good application for lighting very large areas.I just had one of the bulbs fail after 2.5 years of use when we had a power surge, so I'm not faulting it. The other one is still going strong. I used to have to replace incandescent bulbs in the carport 2 or 3 times a year, so it's a time saver not having to get the ladder out and change them often.

Please Don't Buy!! Seriously. I have given this brand too many chances.
UGH! 1 year and 10 days and the same flickering problem as my review on the x125N. Cant return. Really stinks because I need very bright LED's for several enclosed fixtures in my horse barn. Going elsewhere. Will not be burned a third time. At over 50 bucks a bulb, and having spent almost $800.00 now, I have to look elsewhere. Not lasting the warranty with no way to have the company honor the warranty must speak to the high failure rate of these bulbs.

Best LED "bulb" on the market
These bulbs are excellent. They have a very high lumens/watt output. The color rendition is good. The thermal management is excellent, with the bulb staying quite cool (thus the enclosed fixture certification). The only reasons not to select these over any other bulbs on the market are because a) you need a dimmable bulb or b) you need/want a very high CRI for display purposes.I'm using the D125N as an all night security light on the front of my house. It lights up my driveway and front yard very well. It puts out lots of light and uses only 17.5 Watts. At the rated life, it should be about 9 years before I need to replace the bulb.
