I love these Xledia bulbs for my overhead pill box fixtures. Light is soft white, basically close to incandescent. The spread of light on these bulbs is wide. Beware that these bulbs tend to give of more light than their incandescent equivalent. So, in the end, I went down a bit (from 100 to 75) for the bulb near my TV to cut down on glare. I tried another brand originally, but at the time, it had a black spot at the crown of the bulb that was visible when the fixture was in the ceiling. A friend says this problem in the "other brand" is gong.

These Xledia diamond bulbs are brighter than their lumen ratings would suggest, especially as downlights in cans. They are omnidirectional, but a large percentage of the light still comes out the top (bottom if a downlight), so less light is lost into the can and more light shines where you want it. So beware, if you replace another bulb lumen for lumen, you may get a distressingly bright bulb. I replaced a 100W equivalent CFL with the 60W equivalent Xledia diamond bulb; you can extrapolate from there for these intermediate bulbs like 75, 80, 90 W equivalents.
