which ones will fit a Yamaha Bass guitar that is approximately 34" ?

34" is standard length, all the strings listed as long scale will fit a 34" or 35" scale bass, only exception would be strings listed as short scale which are for 32-33".

What are the actual gauges of the strings?

I got the extra light gage. 40 60 75 90. They are a fairly new string from D'Addario but as other D'Addario strings iv'e used they are a well made and sound good.I would buy again.

what size string length should I get for P bass

Standard string length for Fender P Bass is 34". The short scale will be too short DON'T get that. The extra long would work, but you'd have to cut them down.

This was a 4 string version of the set. They do have 5 string versions.
