Obagi Medical Nu-Derm Clear Fx - Skin Brightening and Evening Cream with Arbutin, Vitamin C, and Lactic Acid

Obagi Clear is a good product. It lightens the dark spot but for me has not totally disappeared.

I have used Obagi for 27 years. I always get compliments on my skin and I always give the credit to the faithful use of Obagi products. At 84, I'm ever so grateful to still look much younger...it helps me feel younger too !

I used the old Obaji Clear with hydroquinone for years. It worked almost miraculously within 12 weeks to lighten every tiny spot and freckle on my skin. But after using it over a longer period of time, I noticed my skin was becoming more fragile. I was having broken capillaries appear, and I read that Clear could thin your skin out, as well as causing concerns about cancer. So I stopped using it and over time I wished I had something to replace it. Now Obaji Clear is made with ingredients that have all the benefits of the spot lightener hydroquinone, but without the side effects. The only drawback is that it takes longer to work. I fully expect to stay in this for the long haul, though, as I see a visible difference in my skin after just two months. Not as fast or as miraculous - so far - as the old Clear, but way good enough to keep going. UPDATE: It has been another 2 months of using Clear once a day, at night, under my moisturizer. I put the Clear on my freshly washed and thoroughly dried face, then let it sit for about 5 or 10 minutes, then apply my moisturizer. The improvement in my skin is obvious now, and I expect by the six-month-mark I will be very, very glad I stuck with it. UPDATE February 2019: Just checking back in with an almost-two-year report. I have used the Clear FX once a day before my night moisturizer for about eighteen months at this point. I am very happy with the long term results of use. I don't see any evidence that it does any harm to my skin, as the original with hydroquinone did after long use, and it has evened out my skin tone and faded everything that needed to fade out (freckles and discolorations and dark spots). I will continue to use this product as long as it is available because it works!

Love this skin care line! Been using for years! Tried others and always have come back to this brand! Easy to use! Great results!

I have used Obagi for many years. This new product does not include hydroquinone and I am not sure how it is going to work. Even though I know that hydroquinone products are not gentle on the liver, I would like a product that works. So far, I don't see much difference on hyper pigmentation, but I am going to use it to see if it works like the previous version. I do use Obagi #4, #5, sun screen, and Obagi retinol as well. I love the retinol. This system work very as a kit for beginners and maintenance is needed. That is why I ordered #3. So far, I don't see any reason to give negative review since the results are not visible quickly. It takes at least 4 weeks to see difference.

Although is a bit expensive obagi products are worth the price.

Why does it look so dirty? Is it a returned product that someone used?

No big skin improvement especially for the hefty price. Not really with it
