Affordable and impressive 13 inch laptop sleeve by quality Indian manufacturer.
Need for a sleeve:I recently purchased a 13 inch retina Macbook Pro (early 2015 model), and was looking for a case or a sleeve to protect it while traveling. I already have a very sturdy Samsonite laptop bag, and that's what I use to carry around my laptop. However, the macbook pro is so slim that it doesn't fit very snugly i in the bag and moves around a bit. This is likely to produce scuffs and scratches on the aluminium surface, which I'd very much like to avoid. Hence, I contemplated getting a thin and soft sleeve that would snugly fit the macbook, preventing any friction between the laptop and the surrounding material, and that in turn would fit better into the laptop bag. Also, I wanted the sleeve to be sturdy enough to protect my laptop from accidental liquid spills, minor falls, taps and bumps. With this in mind, I initially went looking in the apple retail shops and visited croma, reliance digital etc. These had options, some of them good - but all were too expensive. And even the not so good ones were priced at around Rs 2500 on an average. I wasn't willing to spend that much on a sleeve alone. So I decided to look on Amazon and came across this manufacturer "Protecta" based out of Gujarat. When I went through their product portfolio, I was pleasantly surprised to see the variety and the material as well as craftsmanship on display, at very "Indian acceptable" prices. Most of their products had 4+ reviews and buyers seemed happy in general. However, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and the only way to really find out was to order one and check it out for myself.Purchase experience:After browsing through the numerous designs on the manufacturers storefront page, I zeroed in on this design, which from a structural engineering point of view looked like a strong construct while being tastefully designed as well. The asking price was Rs 645, which according to me was quite a reasonable price and I placed the order on 21st September 2015. Potential buyers please note that this seller does not provide a "Cash on Delivery" option, so you'll have to pay at the time of checkout. Post payment, seller took 1 day to ship the item via FedEx courier, and it took 4 days to reach me on the evening of 25th Sept. The sleeve comes in a transparent polythene cover placed inside a regular white cardboard box - nothing to write home about, but it does the job.The Product:Upon unboxing the sleeve, I was immediately happy I had chose to buy it. The material is top notch polyester weave, and its a double layer water-resistant design with soft padding in between the layers. The stitching is done professionally and the zippers also appear to have been made to last. I'm attaching photos of the same for you to get a better idea of the material and craftsmanship. There are a total of 2 compartments, accessible via their respective zippers. The compartments are lined by red polyester material which looks very premium and adds class to the design. However, I would have preferred the lining material to be of a softer fabric, like chamois or art-suede to me less abrasive to the macbook's metal. While it's by no means very rough, it is not as soft as most competing products. The main compartment houses the laptop, and there is a secondary compartment on the back of the sleeve. This is a thin space and designed to hold papers, pen drives, or a slim external HDD at best. It will not hold your laptop charger without undergoing an unsightly deformation and material fatigue. Please bear this in mind while purchasing, although with the kind of battery life the macbook has, i never carry my charger to work anyway, but your mileage may vary, so heads up. Finally, there is a strap on the lower middle part of the back of the sleeve, meant for you to insert your hand and grip the base of the laptop while walking, to prevent accidental slippage/snatching and reduce strain and fatigue on fingers, which I personally feel is a vey nice touch. There are no carrying handles though, s if you want that kind of design, this is not for you.User notes:The sleeve itself is a little larger than the Macbook pro (see attached images), and I would have preferred it to be half an inch smaller in both length and width to be a snug fit. Owing to this mismatch in size, the macbook does bounce around inside the sleeve a little bit, and this is the only gripe I have with this product. However, my wife's 13 inch Dell laptop fits in pretty snugly, so I guess the sleeve was designed to cater to the wider 13 inch laptop population, and not exclusively to the ultra slim macbooks. Personally, I'm quite happy with the product for the price I paid, and I think Protecta is doing a good job producing quality Indian items at very competitive rates. Happy to support another indigenous manufacturer.Final words:If you want a 13 inch laptop sleeve just to hold your laptop alone and prevent damage due to falls, accidental liquid spills, etc and want to pay below Rs 700, there is no better alternative on Amazon.in currently and I would highly recommend it. However, if you're looking for a skin-fit for the slimmer macbook/air/pro laptops, the sleeve is a little larger than preferable and you had best explore other options.Hope the review and photos help you make an informed decision regarding your purchase. Thank you for reading.

Just Go for it . Your mac/laptop will feel safe with this bag/Sleeve.;)
The day i bought a macbook air from amazon, i just searched amazon for the laptop bag , anad i found this with good reviews and nice look too.Review:Pros:1. It will fit your 13 inch mac air perfectly.2. It is scratch proof from inside till there is nothing alresdy inside from somewhere outside.3. It is easy to grab by one hand.4. It has cushion type stuff inside both sides , so it is more safe for your laptop when it is inside of this.5. The chain is very smooth.6.It is not waterproof but it can keep it safe from some splashes of water .Cons:1. You have to open the chain to almost the 90% to avoid the possibility of scratches from the chain/zipper(But you will get used to it).2. Sometimes the inside cloth of the zip gets jammed in the zip itself.Click the yes button below if you like this review :)

Protecta Memento Laptop Sleeve - It is good
When I opened the package my first impression about the Quality was, It is Good but not Superb.I was expecting little better Quality.Perfect fit for 15.6" Laptops and you can carry Laptop Adapter and extra USB cables in Zippered Back pocket.Foam padding is neither Good nor Bad.Though It has Wire Frame, I don't think It will provide protection to your device in cases of accidental drops or impactsbut I am not expecting much at this price. With Grab & Go Grip you can hold Sleeve firmly.I found Stitching finishing is no good at 2 places.Looks wise it looks better than other cheap Laptop Sleeves.Using this Sleeve you can carry your Laptop in a Backpack where no special Laptop compartment is available.Overall a good Laptop Sleeve.
