No instructions come with reel. Ir looks like it will take the same capacity as a,standard 4 1/2 reel. Whatever that is. Hope this helps

What is the difference in the $39.99 and the $49.99 centerpin reels you list?

I got the same 41/4" real both times--the price just went up $4 between orders. the difference between the $39 and $49 reels is the spool diameter--one is 41/4', the other is 43/4". I personally don"t know the difference this would make in performance. the 449 reel looks a little different on the front side. I did the ceramic bearing upgrade on the first reel--it spins better; but the original bearings still perform well.

This is a reel, not a spool to hold line. Unsure if it has a bearing system or a bushing.
