Science Activities (Usborne Science Activities)  This is a FANTASTIC hands-on science experiments book for kids! Highly recommend! We have all three volumes in this set. My daughters love these experiments (Kindergarten and Third grade) and as another reviewer perfectly put it: "We have really enjoyed the hands-on aspect and the easy-to-understand format of these science lessons. Each book has three separate topics that are explored in depth with experiments and activities using common household items. The concepts taught are quite sophisticated considering the fun and easy format. Kids are taught real science principles that can be applied to real life situations, but it is done in a way that is non-threatening and keeps their interest. A few of the experiments didn't work as planned but for the most part they came out fine."We are using this book as part of our Sonlight Science home school curriculum, but I think anyone would love to do these experiments with their kids any time. :-) They are not only easy to do... but they also explain what / why the experiments work, which is nice. :-) Again, highly recommend any of the three books in this series!

We love all three of the books in this series. My children find them engaging and easy to read and follow. The often want to work through a whole section of the book's activities all in one session. These are our 'go to' science books for lower primary

A book that easily explains the point of the experiments. Written in lay men terms for any one not confident in science. Most projects are easy to do and there are items that most people have around the house. There are even extended activities. Great for 5 or older children. My son loved making boats and seeing if how many marbles they could carry before sinking.

I bought this book in the hopes that it would be an easy way to add science activites to our homeschooling. The experiments are easy, quick and effective in teaching my children ages 7,5,4,& 2 while holding their attention. We have enjoyed adding Science Night to our families activies with the use of this book.

As is to be expected, some of the experiments can get very messy and if your child reads about it they want to do it, so be prepared to spend time running to the hardware store and searching your cupboards and drawers for things like paper clips.

Great little book foe our home school room. Quite a few fun activities that we can do on a whim with stuff around the house for the most part.

We use this to supplement our science curriculum. It has Great, Quick and easy ideas for my 3 and 5 yr olds. Just the right amount of info for each experiment.
