June 19, 2022 I've used it on my cable for my car cover, today went to unlock it from the end of cable, will NOT Open, using the Right code! Cannot get it off the end of the cable to use it.. Can't even send it back, as it is stuck locked on end of cable. Got this June 1. 2022.. Reset lock combo. Worked fine the first few times used (Not Everyday) Until today.. June 19, 2022

Be careful when setting new code as it is easy to inadvertently spin the dial next to whatever you are intending to change. I had a problem with the first one but solved it. After that, the remainder were reset without issue. I have had similar locks in the past but the cable portion on these are longer and much easier to handle when placing locks on storage bins. They have enough weight and appear to be well made. I found the price to be reasonable and i would recommend these locks..

Easy to use travel the country with them

We just bought into a few of these to test out as a travel solution for smaller bags and they seem to do the job well. They offer enough of a loop where a normal lock (solid loop) can't comfortably reach what it is trying to secure. I wouldn't say these are the most secure locks out there since the flexible steel is much easier to cut than the harder alternative, however TSA locks aren't exactly the perfect example of anything secure anyway (we always wonder about how many of those TSA keys go "missing" in the world). If you are looking for something simple and cost effective and prefer to go the way of a TSA lock, these aren't bad at all. They keep costs down and seem to do the job just fine.

I purchased a handbag on Amazon with a special compartment for my SW 38. Because I have grandchildren, my 38 has two safeties. My handbag doesn’t have a lock as some do, so I purchased this lock to go from the zipper to the ring that holds the crossbody strap. My bag is black and the metal is silver, so the black lock looks great and is very discreet. It’s not going to keep out the “bad guys”, but it will dissuade young fingers and yet make it easy for me to get to my gun quickly if needed. It’s a winner!

Update: The seller offered to send replacement locks to make up for my bad experience. The replacements work great! The original device I purchased must have been flawed. (End of update) I followed the instructions step by step, in order to set the lock. Once I set my code I locked the lock so I could test my code... I have never been able to open the lock since. This was a huge waste of time. The value of the lock isn’t even worth the shipping to return the item. It’s in the trash now.

All four locks worked exactly as they should, except the instructions were in Japanese and I gave my daughter initially to set the code. Since she couldn't read the instructions and inexperienced in this, she reset one lock (probably) the first one without knowing what she was doing and didn't pay attention at the combination at the time. Now we have one lock that we can't unlock. Lol.... Good luck and don't give to your teenagers to set the combination.

(Edit) I changed from 1 star to 3 stars because the seller reached out to me about the product. We shall see if the new lock works properly once it arrives (edit). The reset button doesn't work, so now I will have to try and cut the lock off. To reset the combination, the 3 digits should all be at 0, then you push in the reset button. Well, my reset button is not pushing in.
