Is there any mechanism for it to stop folding when the clother are drying on it and fold back only when necessary?

Hello, Yes, when you lift the cloth dryer it automatically locks. There's a mechanism which locks automatically when cloth dryer is lifted. If you want to fold, you just have to pull the cloth dryer upside and lock releases and it folds down. Hope that information will be helpful. Thanks with regards Team Homwell

No, it cannot be installed on ceiling. Ideally you would want this with in the reach of an upward arm streatch length on a side wall in your balcony or on the terrace.

Good foldable cloth rack

Product is good, serves the purpose. Only problem is the screws provided for fixing the rods are of big size, very difficult to fix, wasted my lot of time and energy. Finally I used rather small and slim screws and that did the job. So please provide such screws that fit easily. Rest is OK.
