Panamax 121-2590 Max flat plug

This was the only 14 gauge offset plug that I could find.
This cost more than some cheaper ones of a thinner gauge but I figured better get this and play it safe than have a house fire or something with a thinner gauge. I'm using it as an extension for my AC. In the Q&A section someone said they received a thinner gauge of 18AWG. That is probably a knockoff so be careful who you order from. The seller I ordered from was Gabrian's and I received a genuine panamax.

it was hard to find a low profile plug like this so I was surprised to find it on ...
I needed a power line to fit behind my office desk computer hub as an IT expert. it was hard to find a low profile plug like this so I was surprised to find it on amazon.com. Thank God. My computer hub operates three desk top 32 inch monitors and three back up computers. It was nice to have a plug like this fit into a tight wall plug area where there was no room between the wall and the desk. Its low profile and I had to fit two of these outlets into a two outlet plug. They both fit into the same outlet if you order two of these plugs. Thank you Amazon!!!

Not available in local stores, flatter than A/C ext cords
I needed a wall-hugging plug, without a large multi-plug end unit. I preferred a short 2-3 ft length. These are simply not available at any local big-box store or at any local hardware store. I guess there is not a big demand for them. But, yes, you can find them on the internet! Note that these are more "wall-hugging" than an A/C or high amperage extension cord that is typically found locally. The ones sold for A/C units will jut out from wall much more than this Panamax Flat Plug.

Could be better?
I just wish it was a little "flatter". Just not quite as thick. Flatter is better, I think. Too bad you couldn't plug this in from the other side of the wall socket. That would be ideal. Although, I guess that would involve an electrician. And a carpenter. And a general contractor. I guess the plug's ok the way it is.

Nice for TV mounts that keep TVs close to the wall
My TV in the house is mounted on the wall. It is an older TV and the wall mount was a flush wall mount. It was an older TV is it was a lot thicker then the TVs that they sell now. It did not leave much room for where the electrical cord plugged into the wall but this fixed the issue. Plus it was short enough so I did not have to coil up the extra cord.

Perfect accessory for an HDTV mounted with a low profile wall mount.
I have a Panasonic TC-P50GT50 plasma and it's very thin, roughly 1.5" I believe. When I had my old TC-P42S2 plasma it was bulky and there was plenty of room to plug in the wall outlet that I had installed behind the mounting area to keep the power cable invisible. When I installed the new TV it was resting on the power plug and not particularly safe as I couldn't fasten the wall mount. This plug for $10 was absolutely perfect. Now my TV sits wicked flat against the wall and the power cord is still invisible plugged in to the wall mount behind the TV. I am not sure you'd need the female end to be any thinner as it will likely match the width of your connecting plug too. This was exactly the product I needed and I'm glad it was cheap too as Panamax's stuff is of very high quality and not usually cheap. I have one of their power filter/conditioner units and it was $439.

Nice for a tight space
I bought this to use with a wall-mounted LCD. The LCD has a bulk bottom, which is where the power outlet behind the tv is located so there the tilting ability of the mount was limited because of a standard power cord. I bought this, plugged it in and now the tv can tilt as designed. Works perfect and hugs the wall nicely!
