AMAZING
As a machinist apprentice, I use this book daily to check my work. This is a TREASURE TROVE of knowledge! The pages being water/coolant/smudge/grease/tear-proof is reassuring that I don't have to clean and dry my hands just to check a tap-drill size.

Packed with useful info
I've had books like this before, most of them were filled with disappointing pages of charts that were replaced by common calculators years ago.I've been machining over forty years and this book has really useful info, things like woodruff key specs that are very handy and the carbide insert section is excellent. Sure you can find this info on line but this book saves the time and going to manufacturers websites as it lists different manufacturers designations for you.I didn't like that the pages were stuck together at the seam and I had to carefully go through each page to keep them from ripping or the fact that you have to place the page tabs yourself, although it gives you the option of leaving them off.I do like the ruggedness of the pages and the quality feel of the paper. All and all a great condensed book for the shop.Recommended.

Great content. Hit-or-miss printing/binding.
The content of the book is well worth it’s price, combining a ton of items I find myself looking up all the time in the shop in one place and with effective colorful organization, but the printer/publisher wasn’t having a great day with pages 161-176. Those pages were, somehow, in a shuffled order and printed at an angle. All six of those pages were either in reverse numerical order or just shuffled randomly and half of those pages are either printed toward the top of the page or printed toward the bottom of the page. Fortunately, the wire binding was easy enough to undo which allowed me to fix the numbering, but the centering of pages is here to stay.

Manufacturing industry must
Comes in handy on a daily bases, also broadened my horizon on types of lathe inserts, carbide grades and much more. I’d even recommend this to current engineering students because y’all diabolically delusional about designing for manufacturability.

Great book
Good for someone just starting and wanting to learn more and have in a toolbox.

Very informative
I rarely give anything a 5 star but this is closer than most things. It’s well organized and filled with very useful and practical info. It may not have everything but it’s closer than most books!
