I already had experience with Gwent from the video game, so I knew the mechanics going in, but I was still curious how well it would translate to a physical card game. Happy to say it works really well. I’ve played this mostly with friends who range from total beginners to people who enjoy strategy-heavy games. Setup is straightforward, and once you get through the first round, the flow feels very natural. Matches are quick but still require real thought, which makes it easy to play multiple rounds without it dragging. The cards themselves feel high quality and the artwork is excellent, especially if you’re a Witcher fan. Only thing I would like to see in a new release is a hard cardboard mat for the actual game. the current one is simply paper. If you like deck-building or tactical card games, or already enjoy Gwent digitally, I’d absolutely recommend this. It’s easy to learn, hard to master, and very replayable.

Card quality is excellent. Lots of cards (430+) and additional game modes. Recreates the original mini game well. May need a better playmat as the one bundled is made of glossy thick paper and possibly susceptible to wearing and tearing after prolonged use.

This is like playing in the Witcher games. Other renditions of Gwent dont even compare. No extra rules, no extra side characters, no weird alterations. This is literally like playing Gwent straight out of the Witcher games. Quality is 10/10, Cards are beautiful and the playmat is perfect. If you have a Witcher fan in your life this is 100% a go to purchase. Trust me, they will love it.

Absolutely brilliant! Love the game and quality of it. Worth every cent. I would not get this to play with anyone who has not played Witcher 3. Can't imagine someone learning this from scratch with all 5 factions.

Look no farther than this, for not even the most famed Witcher, the White Wolf himself can resist the allure of Gwent! Seriously- it's fun, easy to learn, and has all your favorite cards! Same as the mini game in The Witcher 3. Love the art of the cards. Good quality overall

Great and complete set of well-designed playing cards. The set is loyal to the W3 game. The material is quite durable, although you shouldn't expect the cards to last a lifetime, especially if you mistreat them. The box includes a useful rulebook and a guide to different game modes. The reason I don't give 5 stars is that the playing surface is made of paper, with a couple of cardboard pieces to mark the scores of the players. I understand that it would be difficult to fit a board made of harder materials in the small box, but it's certainly a "missing piece" that the creators could have handled better.

The only downside is that the “game board” is an amazing Witcher 3 poster. Game is super simple to learn. Keep the rules handy until you know your way around the cards!
