This collagen sausage casing is thick and strong. It was easy to use. It only needed 5 minutes of soaking time. However, it does smell and a bit oily since it contains cowhide and cellulose. I was able to cut the dry casing in half and only use half instead of the whole thing for 2 kg of meat. The texture after frying is chewy and crispy. If steaming then the casing is just very chewy and will fall off meat when cut. This casing is 46 feet long so the price is reasonable. I used for chinese sausage this time.

I was so happy to find halal sausage casings that are clean, durable, and easy to work with. They don’t tear easily and have a natural texture that gives homemade sausages a perfect shape. I love that they’re truly halal and come well-packed. Definitely recommend for anyone making their own sausages at home!

Poor quality

I soaked them in water and they made a mess for me I wish I would have tried them without soaking they may have worked great and I don't like how they were advertised each picture showed three rolls and you have to read carefully that they were just selling one roll why show all pictures of three after having to cut them four times they worked well

terrible product, cant twist them into sausages without is tearing. prone to air pockets you cant get out. had to go buy different ones after. those worked great. would recommend getting casings from bass pro.
