For context, I'm in my late 50's, skin is doing okay but I've started seeing the signs of time on my face, I've used daily moisturizers for the last 25ish years but have never had anything like this (and this product was/is significantly less costly than the products I generally use). For my 1st attempt I used it at night over the weekend (didn't want to risk showing up at the office with blemishes or swollen) and woke with noticeably softer skin, less swelling, and no over-night creases from sleeping too hard on one side or the other of my pillow. I've been using it about a week now & have received several comments about how rested I look (and I can promise, I am not "resting" any better lately). Another fear I had before using - I didn't want my face to smell like a steak. This product does not have a smell, best described it as being absolutely scent neutral.

I ordered the unscented, and it is truly unscented. It is solid, but by rubbing you finger around the top of the tallow, it immediately begins softening and melting. I used too much the first time, as it leaves a sticky/tacky film on the skin, so as the instructions say, a little goes a long way. Even though the next time I was careful to use very little, I do think it leaves a little tacky and greasy feeling, but it does soften and protect the skin. My only complaint is that due to the size of the jar, and if you have long fingernails, you can't just rub your finger on top of the tallow without getting it all under your fingernails. I'd like the jar to be changed to a short wide mouth vessel, hence only a 4 star rating.

This little jar lasted me about 5 months. A little really does go a long way. A small amount no bigger than a pea size will give your face full coverage and a dewy hydrating look/feel. Doesn’t clog my pores and it’s perfect for my sensitive skin. It is pricey but honestly worth the price. No strong heavy smell. Love this.

Love this brand! I have MCAS & have been looking for better skin care with minimal ingredients. I have been enjoying the Tallow sunblock from Terra Lotus (after having a bad reaction from another Tallow sunblock with lemon oil) & liked it so much that I wanted to try the honey balm. I ordered both in vanilla & was so pleasantly surprised. The initial vanilla is light & wears off but a subtle aroma of honey is still present. No bad reaction at all. Hoping it helps clear up my rashy skin.
