NOW Foods Super Enzymes 180 Tablets

Before I learned more about GERD, it's causes and potential cures, I trusted the MD for several years and daily ate pills that were only meant for very short-term use. It turns out that humans actually need stomach acid to properly digest food and the prescribed PPI inhibitor medication totally shuts it down. After several years, my body had forgotten how to properly digest food even with the PPI medication is removed. These pills have helped me by providing the function that my body was robbed of. After several months, I no longer require the Super Enzyme pills with food but find that using some still provides for happier digestion. Without these, I'd be a malnourished world of hurt.

This enzyme product has it all - HCl, ox bile, and plenty of pancreatic enzymes. I'm working on healing from leaky gut. As such, I don't produce the necessary enzymes to digest my food properly. Before taking digestive enzymes I'd get tired after eating. A few months ago I started taking Davinci Labs - All-Zyme 90 Tablets , which work really well. However, I had to take so many of them per meal that the cost was just too high. I searched for something cheaper that would work just as well, and these enzymes are it. I switched to the NOW Super Enzymes over a month ago and haven't looked back. These really do work just as well as the costlier enzymes. I take two per meal plus two Enzymatic Therapy Mega-zyme, 200 Tablets (which contain only the pancreatic enzymes), and I no longer feel fatigued after eating. It really is a remarkable difference in energy levels. Terrific product, and I definitely would recommend.

Something that has bothered me the past couple of years, is I seem to not be able to tolerate high carb processed foods: pasta, pizza, bread, donuts... you name it. If it has a lot of sugar, or just a processed carb, I can't handle it. What happens is I get very bad acid reflux/indigestion 2-3 hours after consuming these types of foods. The NOW foods super enzymes has eliminated the reflux, when I take an hour or two after a meal... especially if I feel the indigestion coming on. Recently I had about 5 slices of pizza, and found i need about 5-6 tabs and I get zero reflux. Probably need to work on "healing" my gut.

I don't take these daily, just as needed (usually during lunch and/or dinner). I have IBS and things have been getting worse lately, so I hought I would try something new. I take one of these right before a meal, and digestion runs a lot more smoothly. Very little to no gas, and that is an issue with me after most meals. I still must follow my diet since my IBS has been a spastic colon issue above a stomach issue. Visiting my gastro, she said my stomach could be digesting too fast or too slowly (will be getting that tested). I will continue to take these and see how they work long term.

After much searching for a digestive aid, this product was recommended by a health food store owner. The name says it all "Super Enzymes". I eat what I choose and take these enzymes with my food. Result is perfectly normal elimination every day. Just follow the directions … then if necessary add more until desired results are achieved. No laxative effect or long bouts with constipation either.

It is a terrible bitter, burning on my tongue and my throat where it touch as it went down. I cant get my money back and its a total loss, dont buy these unless you want your mouth to burn for now its ond day still burning. I may have to go see my doctor due to this burning on my tongue. I am very upset

Ive been taking these for about 6 months. I take one of these before I eat, and I have no issues. It's amazing. I have a very sensitive system, and these have really been a game changer. Thanks!!
