Keeps insect pests out of pantry and pet supplies.
I have put these in the pantry and it's eliminated any infestation that we've had in the past. I also have wood containers for bags of pet food and they've been targeted by insects. Putting one of these in the container next to the bag has eliminated finding pests in the container or the pet food. None of the pets have exhibited any ill effects from the strips being in the wooden container, I do keep the pet food bags closed. Because they've quietly kept pests out of our pantry and pet food at a very reasonable price I highly recommend them.

Amazing
These work so well. My daughter is staying in Germany. They donโt have screens on the windows so knats always go into her home. I sent her 6 of these and she also loves them. No harsh smell but works very well.

No pest strips
They seem to work somewhat, I still have flying bugs but doesn't seem to be as many. I have tons of flying bugs without the strips. I hang one by each door outside.

Yes.. it works.. I'm a rebel.. I used it in my apartment.. ADD be damned!!!
Okay... so I read the other reviews in regards to not using this in "living" areas... I read several of them... but you know what.. I was desparate, and desperate times called for desperate measures... I had already had a mild fruit fly problem in my small apartment (about 750 square feet).. and like a bubblehead... I left one morning in a hurry after making a smoothie and neglected to clean up.. I managed to leave a few strawberries on the counter right next to an unfinished glass of wine.. I then left and didn't return for about three days.. I came home to the Fruit-FlyAgeddon.. Fruit-Apocolypse... It was HORRIBLE. I spent the entire weekend, swatting flies away from my face, my laptop screen, my television screen.. I even tried vacuuming them from the various areas they would land.. I spent hours over the course of a weekend waving my vacuum hose around in my living room like some cracked out Ninja with a lame sword trying in vain to suck up the little mutants as they flit around my apartment. And then it happened. I went to open my bedroom window; and there it was. The Fruit Fly Village. In my bedroom window.. hundreds of them... milling about. Shopping, playing, singing, dining, mocking me. It was 20 degrees outside and I had to sleep with a fan blowing towards me to keep the little mutants from landing on me while I tried in vain to sleep beneath Fruit Fly Village.. I literally cried myself to sleep. Because I realized.. those little freaks had been in my apartment.. all along. Just waiting for me to mess up.. and I did.. I fought them over the long Thanksgiving Weekend.. and first tried the vinegar/dishsoap thing.. I freaked out when I saw all the bodies floating.. but the vinegar just seemed to draw them out.. it wasn't alleviating the problem.. It was merely punctuating the severe issue that I had.. Then, after returning home one evening It was then that I cracked. I could not cook in my kitchen as they would land everywhere.. I couldn't even hang out in my living room.. While trying to watch the Mindy Project I spent the entire show swatting them away from my face... And I definitely couldn't enjoy a glass of beloved wine.. I couldn't even put my makeup on in my bathroom without one of the mutants landing on my foundation on my face, I even swallowed a couple of them during a workout... Yes.. I couldn't even enjoy my Tae-Bo... They had taken over.. I'd had it... I hopped online and immediately ordered the No-Pest Strip... Prime Membership.. spent the extra $3.99 to get it the next day..I thought to myself... I will risk the adult onset ADD.. This must end... I want my life back. I hung it up... and after a few hours.. noticed that nothing was flying around my head as I watched television.. but I think it was all in my mind.. I decided to go to bed.. place it in my tiny kitchen.. and see what would happen. I closed myself up in my bedroom to try to minimize the ADD fumes.. The next morning.. I noticed not much.. I dressed for work and left. Upon arriving home.. I began to notice.. the tiny carcasses on my kitchen counter.. I cleaned them all.. In my bathroom, I noticed a few carcasses in my tub. OMG.. could it be working? There was a faint smell.. not intrusive.. but just enough to remind me that the ADD stick was working.. Then, the big test.. I sat on my sofa to watch television.. I was only accosted by one lone fruit fly.. I was winning.. And now.. the battle is almost won. It has eliminated 90% of the mutants.. I made the mistake of forgetting to plug in the drains in the kitchen and just went and found quite a few plotting their attack.. I attacked them with a bottle of Clorox and some very hot water.. I am strong now Mutants.. I am winning. Yeah.. this stuff works.. I have my bedroom back.. they are gone.. only a few here and there.. Easy to kill.. I will let it hang for two more days.. and then discard my ADD stick.. I have my apartment back!

Flies, No Flies
A seasonal thing, we battled those pesky fruit flies for over a month with no relief. We even found that they were hanging out on the family room ceiling. so every evening, my husband pulled out the vacuum and used the hose attachment to suck in the flies overhead. Then our daughter came in one night and told us about her friend who had also battled fruit flies. Her friend recommended Hot Shot No-Pest Strip to us. I placed an order that same night for two strips. I forgot to mention that we had hung another brand of pest strip but it didnโt work. As soon as the Hot Shot No-Pest Strip arrived, my husband took them out their packages, hanging one in the kitchen over the sink and one in the family room. I truly believe that the strips started working that night. The next day it seemed like it was a lot less flies around us. And within 4 days except for one persistent fly, they were pretty much gone. That little fly was eventually caught on the bathroom mirror. No more flies. I know what weโll be ordering next year. Hot Shot No-pest Strip, comes as a package of one. I highly recommend it.

Great for spiders and creepy crawlers to get rid of them!
This stuff is amazing, we use it under our house, in the crawl space, it kills spiders and other creepy crawlers. Every 3 months we change them out, and keep out the bugs. We do the same thing in our garage.

It works
Had a roach problem and suspected they were hiding in a small appliance. Put the appliance in a bag with the strip, closed it, put that into a 2nd bag and closed and tied it off and left it outside for 1 month. Opened it recently and yup a bunch of dead roaches. So it works great.

Not perfect, but pretty darn close!
We had flies and maggots in our putdoor trash. Disgusting, but not unheard if in very hot, humid climates like ours. Tried about 5 different removal and prevention methods, but nothing worked. UNTIL THIS! The flies and maggots were dead within a day, and it has kept working for weeks! My only hitch is that it's hard to figure out placement. We were able to hang ours from a hook inside the trash bin. But we have to remember to remove it on trash pickup day, or else it goes with the trash. Nonetheless, it's a great purchase if you're really struggling with pests.

The most important thing is it kills everything
I keep and breed ball pythons and I have over 100 snakes the hot shot is easy to use I have tried the Taurrus mites but the cost is crazy and with som meay enclosure it's just easier to hang a hot shot up sometimes you do pick up snake mites the hot shot kills everything in days

Dichlorvos works
Ignoring the mis-use based hype, this is used by museums etc to prevent destruction of organic specimens by very tough insects. It protects woollens etc the same. Unlike various home remedy options (moth balls, cedar wood, etc) ... put some carpet beetles in with these, and they don't notice. Reality 101.
