Super sharp and efficient
Many years ago I bought the best pruning saw ever (pre-Amazon). I used it for years and years until the handle broke. We tried to fix it but nothing worked. Well, I just found it on Amazon and had to buy it! I am SO happy to have found it again after trying many others that looked similar but we’re far from my old favorite. This saw is amazing. It cuts through white pines of 6-8” trunk diameter like butter! It has teeth that cut in both a forward or backward stroke so it’s super efficient. I saved the cardboard “sheath” that it came in for protection for the saw & myself. I can use this saw one handed it is so easy & I’m no spring chicken. I can’t recommend this saw enough it makes pruning a joy.

Solid steel which will cut
Basically everything it should be: sharp, relatively rigid, and effective. Not sure why people want a "lightweight" saw which would bend and flex and not cut well - this is a solid piece of steel which cuts with ease if you have the strength and angle. I've used on live oak, drake elm, crepe myrtle and scrub and it has been very effective.

Amazing!
After seeing some tree surgeons use these on Youtube, I just had to try one, as I have a lot of trees that need pruning. I am AMAZED! It truly works as good as what one sees in the vids! It even cuts thick limbs quickly and with ease...and is swo much easier to maneuver with if you need to climb, as opposed to other types of saws or chainsaws! And it cuts easier and faster than any hand saw I have ever used. I even used it to fully cut down a >20' white pine that I needed to take down in a few sections in a confined area, because I was too lazy to prep and get out my chainsaw! (And even THAT was quick and easy!). After having used this saw, I am now going to try some Japanese saws (much like this style) for cutting lumber by hand! With hand tools that work this well, it really lessens one's reliance on power tools. And my trees have never looked so good- as I can now trim them so quickly and easily.

Incredibly sharp, light and makes quick work of branches and small trees
I finally used this today, and it's unbelievably good. It must be the sharpest anything I've ever owned. I got sick of jerking around with chainsaws and just went simple. You can one hand pretty big branches and trees up to probably 3 inches comfortably. I'm suburban so I have the usual suburban usages. I am so happy with this item, you should buy one.

My go-to handsaw for over 20 years.
This product has seen some design changes over the years, but its current style is worthy of keeping. You need a good scabbard to protect the teeth when not in use. I have used this saw in my arborist business for over 35 years. There are more expensive professional hand saws, but you can spend double the money and only get 5% increase in durability and performance. I've chosen to stay with this one. There's also a smaller folding version that does not need a scabbard. Wear a leather glove on the hand you are not holding the saw with. This saw is made for cutting wood, and it will have no difficulty cutting into your hand.

Great limb saw.
Great value. I use limb saws all of the time. This kind of saw has a limited shelf life. What you want is a sharp saw. An easy to use saw, which last as long as possible. When used on live wood, most users don’t realize the sap of some woods attacks the finish on some saws. A rusted saw is harder to use. Though use, the saw get dull, and as the finish breaks down, the saw takes more effort. Eventually, one wears a saw out. This saw has lasted a good 6 months, with little rust, and cuts quickly and cleanly. For the price, this has been a great saw.
