best swimming aid for kids!!!!!
I bought this product so the my 6yrs old son could enjoy the beach/ pool without me having to worry too much about saftey . my son was doing dog paddle style swimming within minutes of use. we started by guiding him around with the extra lenght of cord. then he managed on his own. he was able to thread 5 ft of water on his own and hit the waves with confidence.the only gripe was the belt always ended up around his lower chest area. also the loop let loose after i attempted to use it with 2 foams (my scary fault). luckly i was right next to him.great product. a must for all children...

Well Made
My daughter hasn't used this yet, but it seems to be well made. I really like the buckle, which makes this much easier to use and adjust than the belt she uses in swim class.Update: 7/30/2014My daughter loves this belt. It works very well for her. She is a 7 year old who has had swim lessons, but she is not a strong or confident swimmer. She uses this belt more for security than anything else. It does hold her weight, and it has been a breeze to adjust as she grows. I am very glad I purchased this.

Instructional Swim Belt
I choose this product because others were using them at the pool for classes. It seems to help when doing classes. The problem is that it rides up under you arms and is uncomfortable. I keep tightening the strap but it still rides up or is very uncomfortable and tight around the waist. It does't give much support when doing expercises and seems to behard to keep balance. The delivery time was good and came in good shape.

Good for snorkeling
Snorkeling trip to the USVI. We wanted something to help keep us on top of the water a bit. These were perfect. Keeps you afloat and yet you can unbuckle and swim down to get closer looks. The belt is not super comfy but it’s sturdy and served it’s purpose! Easy to dry and pack. I would get these for a fun snorkel trip.

Good investment
Love this belt. It is similar to the one my 4 1/2 year old daughter who is on the small side to uses. She is in just 4t clothing now for size idea. I bought with 3 of the floats but took one off right away. It's great for that in between stage when they want to be independent in that water and you don't feel like holding them in your arms all the time. It also frees up their arms and builds up their strength in as and legs without holding them back and builds on what she is learning in lessons. Belt ends up a little long I just wrap it around her waist again and make a little knot so it doesn't drag when she keeps getting out of the pool to jump in.

Instructional swim belt
This is a great product! I have an inground pool and all 3 of my sons, now adults, used the belts and were swimming independently by age 4! I now have them for my grandchildren! I used these from age 1!These belts keep them upright but their arms are free to learn swimming strokes. As they improve their swimming abilities pads can be removed to encourage stronger swimming!I highly recommend this product!

Excellent swim belt
This swim belt is exactly what i was shopping for. I used to be a swim instructor and now have a 2 year old son I am teaching to swim. These belts are the best for swim lessons because they encourage toddlers to swim on their bellies w/their chins in the water and their feet kicking behind them. Other swim-aides like arm floaties and ones that attach to the chest encourage up and down swimming which becomes dangerous when they become more skilled and no longer need the floaties: they are now used to swimming in a straight-up and down, vertical position which is NOT a rest position. If they get a mouthful of water and start to panic they are now in the exact position seen in active drowning. These waist belts encourage them to learn to roll from tummy to back and back to tummy which is exactly what you want them to do if they get tired in the middle of a pool or lake or if they get a mouthful of water! This particular belt is soft foam rather than scratchy foam that some are made out of. they don't leave marks on the skin. The blocks come on and off easily as well. A good technique for getting them on and off quickly is to use a ruler. Wrap the belt over the ruler and stick it through the slot in the blocks. Very happy with this purchase and highly reccommend!

Great belt if you don't receive a defective one!! Manufacture not so good...
Loved the belt the first 3 times my son used it. Then as we were adjusting the buckle one of the foam squares broke off. We tried using it with only 2 but it didn't keep his body up in the water. I contacted the manufacturer regarding this issue. Their response was this belt is not made for jumping. Little do they know he wasn't jumping. I did order another belt with a local company & have not had any problems. Shame on the manufacturer for not taking back a defective belt.Other wise the belt is great for swimming in our pool.
